I am compiling CyanogenMod 12.1 from source but my computer is hanging. By hanging I meant completely stuck. Even mouse becomes unresponsive. I have to force restart the computer and then initiate the building process every time it happens.
I checked the log and found out it's something related to Java which complaints about low memory. So I have to increase heap size. I followed a tutorial online and have set the heap size to 2048mb but it still hangs.
My PC specs:
i3-M370 @ 2,40GHz
Intel graphics hd
4Gb ram
500gb hdd (100gb for Ubuntu, 80gb of these 100gb is allocated to /user partition and over 40gb is free from the 80gb)
Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
1gb swap partition
Any help is welcome...
Update:
I upgraded RAM to 6GB and CPU to Core i5-480M!
The PC is still hanging !
