Uninstall Xposed framework and app first.Use super su to do complete unroot and then clear dalvik/cache. Then flash magisk from recovery. Verify safety net works. Then if your good there proceed to install systemless Xposed.

Have not installed Xposed yet so that is not a factor. Uninstalled Majisk, cleared dalvik/cache and reinstalled. I can get "SafetyNet Passed" if I select "Hide Majisk" in Settings, otherwise I get same "Failed" message as before. Is that how it is supposed to work?

Yes. That's correct. I forgot to mention that. After you install Xposed double check safety net status. Android pay works for me now. It's great.

OK. Installed Xposed apk via ES File Explorer and Teamwin. Ultra-slow reboot as Xposed "Optimized" 229 apps on my phone. SafetyNet Failed but when I select Xposed status to be "inactive" SafteyNet passes. Am I good to go?

Now I have to figure out how Xposed works. I don't know much about Android pay, but am excited about the concept of ad-free YouTube.

Make sure you have Xposed as systemless and then you can have Xposed on and safety net should pass. Besides that your good to go.

Yes, I did install Xposed as Systemless. But now if I activate Xposed and reboot, Magisk's SafetyNet fails. Oh, well. I'll keep playing with it.

I removed root and xposed. Then I dirty flashed 1.0.8 with magisk and systemless Xposed. Safety net is working.

@brianmajicr... So I am going to clean install 1.0.8, then magisk12 then systemless exposed. Never used exposed before, how do I know that's the one I'm installing from your download links? Do I unzip the file or just flash the file as is? Thanks

If you can not update Google apps from the play store it is that you did not wipe.

You can try to delete only the .android folder on your internal storage.

Lets Start with Step one Please Download Step_1_Non-Verizon_Computerfreek_1.0.8.zip and Step_2.zip From Downloads.

1. Backup ( If you Don't it is not my fault! Just Backup Please Photos and Stuff)

2 Enter Twrp

3 Connect to PC and Copy Over files. Step_1_Non-Verizon_Computerfreek_1.0.8.zip and Step_2.zip

4 Goto Wipe and Hit Advanced Select System,Data and Both Cache. Slide over Switch to Start. This will Wipe saved games and stuff by Wiping Data.

5 Go to Install and Flash ONLY STEP 1 and Restart.

6 Setup phone it will run the Setup wizard and will or may say phone is activating Just let it go it will fail. Then Click USE wifi.

7 Set up your APN's if you need to under settings then more then networks.

8 If everything is working data and calls. Shutdown and reboot into TWRP.

9 In Twrp Reboot and Go to Install Flash Step 2.

10 Reboot and enjoy.

uninstalled posed (zip + app just in case) and safetynet is golden. this is without a reflash--same 1.0.8 install I had.

I installed the systemless xposed and the material app with it... safetynet fails when it's active. I used your links.

Could xposed modules cause the safetynet check failure?

When I clean install it this way the phone won't go past the activation thing. It fails after a while but you can't push next, so it's stuck in a loop. But if I flash 1st and 2nd step right away - I can get into the OS, but the modem won't function at all.

@computerfreek274 I am trying to set up my turbo to use on T-Mobile. I havent bought a SIM yet but wanted to get it setup so i can go and get SIM and drop it in. However, the wifi doesnt work after install of step 1. At setup i can keep skipping and get it to go tot settings but it cant find any wifi networks even though there are like 6 around me. and even though wifi is off that little working scroll bar thingy continues to move from left to right.

Also, the system pretty regularly just reboots if i try to turn wifi on/off

Are you coming from CM based tomorrow ? wipe everything. And return to stock radios and so on before you flash this Rom.

Maybe you are not on Verizon modems and radios ? This Rom will only work on stock radios.

It's definitely enabled. I can pass safetynet while rooted with Magisk, but as soon as I install the xposed systemless from within magisk downloads and the material xposed apk, safetynet says NO.

I was coming from a CM based ROM - but I installed your MM new radio files before I flashed part 1

Yeah the problem is that your kernel/boot.img seems like ypur still npt on verizon kernel or somthing. This will happen after flashing 3rd party firmware like CM. This happens a lot when returning to stock. Try and flash full stock from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/development/rom-mcg24-251-5-100-stock-t3512949 in twrp so everthing updates boot radios modems and so one.

If after flashing this and if wifi is working reflash my rom. This way you do not have to reflash twrp flashing stock from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/development/rom-mcg24-251-5-100-stock-t3512949

Sorry you are having trouble but depending on what cm and what hw stuff gets setup with cm based roms it makes it hard sometimes to return.

Also I'm not sure why, but Magisk seems to forget it is the rooting entity. Other apps can gain root permission but Magisk shows a red x in the "properly rooted" box.
