Firs of all i am a noob :D I've bought a sensation (a second hand - unlocked and with energy gingerbread custom rom). Now i want to flash an ICS rom but confused about firmware. As i am using a gingerbread rom my firmware is the 1.17 one as far as i understand. I will flash 3.24 Unlocked one but am confused. When i type commands:

su
getprop ro.cid
getprop ro.mid

get htc_622 for cid and PG5813000 for mid.

Do i need to superCID to flash the 3.24 firmware?

U put the firmware into the root of ur sd card and reboot into bootloader...by holding volume down and power and it should ask if u want to update automatically....and press yes and that's it

I would highly suggested to super cid your phone, it is simple and easy process and will save you a big head ache.

If you go there and look for the packages that match your CID, you don't have to SuperCID. Saves a little bit of time. Just find your CID and download the 3.24 unlocked version. Pop it onto the root of your sd card "/" (the main folder). Reboot while holding volume down to get into the bootloader, it'll ask if you want to update. Hit volume up, it'll update, complete, then you just delete the PG58IMG off your SD usually via a card reader. After that, boot again into the bootloader and select recovery, if you don't delete the PG58IMG, you won't be able to do this. From the recovery, wipe data and cache, then choose your rom.

I'm sure you know a good but about this but I like to have all the instructions in one place for someone to quickly glance over.
