Connect a Note 4 to a Note Pro 12.2 for File Transfers...

Hi all,
I'd like to connect my Galaxy Note 4 to my Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 so that I can transfer files between the two directly, but without having to rely on a USB Stick/Memory Card/Hard Drive/Bluetooth/Cloud as I do now. Does anyone know how to this?

Pushbullet, nice and easy, install on both devices, adds text messaging from your tablet too! And you can get all notifications on your computer plus file transfer to/from. It's a MUST app.

Does it allow external SD card file transfers? No rooting.

I use WiFi Direct - speedy & easy ( on my SM-910T & SM-P900). I have only been able to use this if both are running Stock rom (Rooted debloated deodexed doesn't matter, but I think the WiFi direct is samsung).

Sidesynch and smartswitch should already be installed on both devices and will do what you want. Wifi direct will also work. The other way if you've remove'd all those apps and don't want to install anything would be to just connect both devices to a computer through the usb cables and transfer files between the two.

If those programs don't allow transfer to external SD card then they are useless to me.

Thanks to everyone's ideas, but the easiest solution for me was the one that "Brokens" offered & so I'm using Wi-Fi Direct to transfer my files without having to use any Cloud/Hardware to do it.
