Considering buying a Nook HD

I'm considering buying a Nook HD but I see mix reviews based on the stock. How are your experience with the Nook compared to stock vs rooted? I've seen hybrid also but don't really understand how that works.

Buy it, NAND CM10.1 it, enjoy it.
Bought mine for 120€ and it is worth its money.
It is fast when CM10.1 is installed in NAND and the graphics performance is good.
