SuperGNES works well for me, Lets me customize controls. Been Playing Link into the Past many hours!
The dev is adding Shield support in the next build that will be on the play store today or tomorrow so all the buttons will work properly.https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.retroarch
Fantastic emulator can emulate other systems but mostly use it for PSX emulation. Based on the excellent PCSX-R. Unlike others it doesn't cost money and doesn't have adds in it. Has anyone tried retroarch on the Shield?
I'm also really loving PPSSPP - I tried it out for the first time last week and it worked alright, but then like the next day it got an update and now it runs great on some of the games I tried, luckily enough the ones I really really wanted.PPSSPP (some games load but audio and some models are glitched)
What game are you playing? Have you restarted the device (sleep related performance issues) are you using stock settings or have you enabled anything funky (retroarch shaders/filters)Anyone experiencing performance issues with snes emulators? I tried Snes9x, superGnes and retro arch. Snes9x had the best performance, but every once in a while the framerate drops dramatically. Is it just me?
Yes I tried restarting the device, not using any special shaders, basic stuff. What game are you playing? Have you restarted the device (sleep related performance issues) are you using stock settings or have you enabled anything funky (retroarch shaders/filters)
I have retroarch using snes9x next core and performance is identical to the actual console and even better than original in some cases
Its worth a shot, reflashing factory resetting my shield helped fix some random issues I was having with memory card reading. But those games run perfect for me in retro arch snes9x next core.Yes I tried restarting the device, not using any special shaders, basic stuff.
Happens in every games, mostly in megaman X, but also zelda: a link to the past and even mario world.
As far as I remember it used to run better when I first got it, not sure if a factory reset would help.
not really noticed in android games, but when I stream PC games it does skip some frames from time to time. This might be related to my router though since it's not on the official recommended list...Its worth a shot, reflashing factory resetting my shield helped fix some random issues I was having with memory card reading. If its still misbehaving you may want to inquire with nvidia, does it only happen on emulators see the same dips in regular games?
