For those having issues when switching from Factory VZW rom with backup assistant.
Search Market for Handy Backup
It will backup your contacts to the sdcard in vcf format.
Then do your flashing.
I had an issue with losing contacts for a friends Incredible, this is how i remedied it.
For some reason if ur backing up via BA then it doesnt sync to google
(presumably to prevent dupes)
Of course you can export from BA website, but this is android, we live on the fact that we can flash without need for a computer, EVER!!
