Having a difficult time trying to figure out how to back up my T-Mobile modem. Can anyone walk me through this process or at least where to start. (Yes I read the link to the other forum page).
su
dd if=/dev/block/by-name/modem_a of=/sdcard/modem_a.img
dd if=/dev/block/by-name/modem_b of=/sdcard/modem_b.img
dd if=/dev/block/by-name/persist of=/sdcard/persist.img
dd if=/dev/block/by-name/modemst1 of=/sdcard/modemst1.img
dd if=/dev/block/by-name/modemst2 of=/sdcard/modemst2.img
Is there a way to back up the modem without root?if you have root, use dd
then put it on your computer and keep it safeCode:su dd if=/dev/block/by-name/modem_a of=/sdcard/modem_a.img dd if=/dev/block/by-name/modem_b of=/sdcard/modem_b.img dd if=/dev/block/by-name/persist of=/sdcard/persist.img dd if=/dev/block/by-name/modemst1 of=/sdcard/modemst1.img dd if=/dev/block/by-name/modemst2 of=/sdcard/modemst2.img
With edl
Can you elaborate for the people in here (definitely not me nope not me lol) like with either a step by step or link?
It's a little complicated with setting up firehose and drivers, see: https://github.com/bkerler/edl/Can you elaborate for the people in here (definitely not me nope not me lol) like with either a step by step or link?
Got ya that was my plan (rooting first). Thanks for confirmingIt's a little complicated with setting up firehose and drivers, see: https://github.com/bkerler/edl/
I would just do the root method, easier to do. You need to unlock the BL anyways and flash the tmo modem after conversion, so I don't see the issue here...
The wrong link is just the global MSM, not the LE2120 MSMMSM tools are region locked by projectid. There are other ways to try to get it to work but needs more dev and testing. Also, I don't have a 2120 msm so I can't even begin
11.2.2.2 is correct! Don't download 11.2.4.4. The connection is wrongThanks, I'll download it now. I see from the filename that it's potentially LE2125 NA MSM, is this the correct link?
I mean, I downloaded the link you provided and got lemonadep_22_O.05_210324_repack.zip11.2.2.2 is correct! Don't download 11.2.4.4. The connection is wrong
Let me check the link againI mean, I downloaded the link you provided and got lemonadep_22_O.05_210324_repack.zip
The .ops file inside has the exact same hash as the US LE2125, so the link you provided is the LE2125 NA/Global 11.2.2.2 MSM, not the Chinese LE2120.
Ok, so they use the global msm to unbrick, then downgrade back to color. Sounds like a native 2120 coloros msm is still not available then.Once again, confirm that it is the global MSM. Because it is a download link provided by oneplus 9 series LE2110/2120 Chinese community members. They also use this MSM to save the bricks, and then flash back to ColorOS
I went to the How to guide looking for the T-mobile magisked/untouched link - but nothing is posted. Is there another way to root the T-Mobile version?if you have root, use dd
then put it on your computer and keep it safeCode:su dd if=/dev/block/by-name/modem_a of=/sdcard/modem_a.img dd if=/dev/block/by-name/modem_b of=/sdcard/modem_b.img dd if=/dev/block/by-name/persist of=/sdcard/persist.img dd if=/dev/block/by-name/modemst1 of=/sdcard/modemst1.img dd if=/dev/block/by-name/modemst2 of=/sdcard/modemst2.img
Boot (not flash) with the rooted EU or Global boot.imgI went to the How to guide looking for the T-mobile magisked/untouched link - but nothing is posted. Is there another way to root the T-Mobile version?
You could, but in case it didn't work, you wouldn't have a backup
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot reboot bootloader
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.qualcomm.qti.uim
fastboot oem unlock
If you don't have root or unlocked bootloader backup using MSM tool. When in the screen where you would normally flash the rom, press F8 key. You will see list of partition, password is oneplus to use backup.Link to the tg group I'm willing to help or find a fix for this also my Bluetooth will randomly disconnect then reconnect my Garmin watch. I did notice it disconnected my airpod before once but haven't had that happen yet just happens more often with my Garmin watch.
Thanks! That's what i did. By the way i used the system LE2123 to do updates until A12 and stopped. Dowloaded the One+ local update app for A12 and used the Zip Full LE2125 F17 from OxygenUpdater app. Now i am on A13 GLOBAL and doing OTA updates normally. Thanks for all your quick support, it was very important to me conquer the aim.Yes you need to do incrementals. F17 is the latest version and you can't go straight to that. Just use the EU to GLO MSM I posted above if you don't know how to use oxygen updater local uograde, that will put you on a11 GLO then you won't need oxygen updater, you can just do regular system updates to f.17 GLO.
