Could an ouya run android 6 or over it's a question I ponder?

I'm not that good on guaging required power of a device for android versions, I am a simple end user not a developer. But a question I see a little here and there is could an ouya being so old yet tegra 3 with just 1gb ram possibly run android 6.0+ or is that the reason it never came up anywhere because an ouya simply lacks the power to run marshmallow or higher? It would be interesting to know if it can't why but hazzarding a guess it would be the hardware wouldn't cope primarily others guess a lack of ram?
