Okay , I'll try to explain the issue the best I can .
During the first 14 months of my usage my(stock ,locked ) p2 worked just fine but when I gave it to my sister it went berserk one day , she told me that the screen flashed suddenly and the touch stated feeling wonky , especially the bottom part of screen .
So I decided to investigate and found that I'm not alone . I read that it might be due to some faulty firmware update pushed by lenovo while transitioning from 6.0 to 7.0 ( unverified info ) .
So I decided to install the custom ROM LOS 15.1 hoping to solve the issue . The issue : bottom two set of rows of screen not responding to touch , well to my surprise the touch worked well in twrp mode but issue persisted in the in is usage . I had to use the adb command 'overscan' to get the navigation bar to work since it recides over the buggy area of the screen , thus resizing the screen resulting it to look a bit ugly . So after 9 months I've decided to experiment again to find out what's the deal the touch , I went back to stock 6.0 ROM to see what's up , I wasn't disappointed I found that disabling the navigation bar in 6.0 allowed the touch to work in that region . So this lowers the possibility of hardware related issue although now entirely rule out . I need your thoughts on it
