Question Couldn't activate "Mi Message"

"Couldn't activate service. Tap to try again"
"Couldn't Activate Service: Couldn't verify phone number. Make sure SIM 1 works properly and try again..."

I click "try again" and still wouldn't fix this

My sim definitely works as I can make/receive phone call, receive mobile data, and receive/make texts

Anyone got a fix for this?

The phone must be connected to the Xiaomi account associated with your sim
and locate device must be enabled (Xiaomi cloud).

i'm sure i did these but whatever, i'll just turn off notifications for this app. Everything works fine anyways. Just this annoying popup

is a xiaomi bug itself , most devices have it in latam and others regions
