Mine is global and had no problem binding it to my account. On Sunday I can unlock it.Yes. Bound account. Disabled VPN. Tried multiple USB cables. Multiple ports. Removed device form account and added a new account. Nothing works.
I think maybe Xiaomi 13 cannot be unlockedin Europe.
Huh. I wonder what the difference could be. Perhaps the unlock tool doesn't like Windows 11?Mine is global and had no problem binding it to my account. On Sunday I can unlock it.
I've tried it on windows 10 and 11, so it can't be that.Huh. I wonder what the difference could be. Perhaps the unlock tool doesn't like Windows 11?

My my pc's are intel 11th and 12th gen i9'sJust saw this in the requirements on the Xiaomi website:
- Make sure you use an Intel® based PC.
I wonder if this is the problem. I have AMD Ryzen.
My Intel laptop can't even detect the phone. So that's cool.My my pc's are intel 11th and 12th gen i9's
I've never had this error before on these pc's
I cant actually set any region on my phone, it literally doesn't even have the option to set it anywhere.Solved this. Created a new Xiaomi account with region set to US. No VPN required. Even let me use my UK phone number.
Not on your phone. Go to https://account.xiaomi.com/ and just make a new account with region set to US. Factory reset your phone and add that account. Then do the bootloader unlock using that account.I cant actually set any region on my phone, it literally doesn't even have the option to set it anywhere.
Ah okay, that actually makes sense, gotta get a new sim though :/ so much hassle to get this thing unlocked :'(Not on your phone. I'm in the United Kingdom, and the current region is set to United Kingdom. On a chinese model, do you think this makes any difference? Not on your phone. No it seems to be based on the location of your mi account only. I dont understand why that requires you to get a new sim.I'm in the United Kingdom, and the current region is set to United Kingdom. On a chinese model, do you think this makes any difference?
because I'd need to set up a new account and I need a number? No it seems to be based on the location of your mi account only. I dont understand why that requires you to get a new sim.
Not Windows related. I tried it on Windows 7. Same result, same error. 6 months ago I successfully unlocked my first device. Not so much this time.Huh. I wonder what the difference could be. Perhaps the unlock tool doesn't like Windows 11?
Same here.

I saw this somewhere else, but I have not seen an actual source for it. If you could find a source I'd greatly appreciate it.
This must be a new thing because I've never had this issue before. I created accounts and successfully unlocked bootloaders within 168 hours successfully.
On my main account it usually unlocks within 15 minutes. But this time, it's not taking to the binding.
We can't even get to the part where you request the 168 hours. Process fails before the timer starts.Since September last year, Xiaomi has stipulated that each new mobile phone must wait for 168 hours to unlock any account, including the internal test account. If the number of new mobile phones unlocked by your account within a year exceeds 4, you will not be able to Unlock the new phone.
Same here.
