Hey
I've got a little problem, once or twice a day I have to toggle Accessibility Service on/off for getting it to work
Isn't there a way to stop this to happen?

Otherwise this is a really great app, and I'm aware off the amount off work there is in making all this to work
I've been testing and switching between CSOS, Samsprung and Goodlock, there a pro's and con's in all of them
The biggest con here is still the price
I know there is a discount in the app, but still to expensive, just my opinion
But anyway, great work
Any solutions yet ?

Thanks for your work mate, made me like the phone more! Wasn't & still not as happy as I thought I'd be with it (the phone-app is great)...wish I'd researched it more before getting it but hindsight is a wonderful thing 😉.
But just letting dev know your work is well appreciated!

I've been testing this app for a long time. I have noticed that at least once a day in OS the status crashes "enable Accesibility Service" even though everything is properly enabled. I go to the settings, turn it off and on again. It works again. Not a big deal, but sometimes it hangs up when needed.

There are many with the same problem in here, the purpose of this app is sort of falling down when you have to open the phone anyway
It seems that dev don't really care about it, there are several posts but no answers

Yeah sorry I'm not paying a subscription to keep features on an app. Why would this even be a option. I understand one man team and would also understand like a 1.99/ month deal but $4.99 nah bro your could've just sold it for that much and probably have a better profit. Not the mention the official samsung coverscreen launcher and the third party one that HAS A WORKING KEYBOARD(for a nice easy price of 1.99) I think you got your priorities mixed up. Can't charge people for a half baked pie

Also my opinion
A better choise (for me) is Samsprung, much better support and feedback on issues, and it's the right price 😉
I know there has been a LOT of work in this app, but I think it's more and more looking a bit of a moneymachine

Yeah, I really do not like the subscription model (though it's clear why developers do).

I'm a bit surprised by some glitches which may well have come in as a result of the latest OS update a couple of weeks ago:
- the accessibility setting is lost randomly
- on some notifications, the "welcome" flash takes over the cover screen for several seconds.

Still quite a few rough edges to smooth, but for me it's 90% functional

With all due respect to the developer, but I notice that every day the application has more flaws than improvements, that is, for how expensive it is, it should already be "STABLE", here it is charging for a "BETA" application, I think that XDA I should do some analysis, it's a forum or a market play of applications in a possible "ALPHA" state. Thank you

Ridiculous that you would charge for a unfinished app, nothing in it works very well

Hi All,

I already paid $70 for the application & the developer stopped at 7.1.2 beta! I regret buying it & lost trust.

Friend, paying for a BETA application is a scam, unfortunately XDA supports this, when a BETA application is being developed, donations can be requested, but a fixed price can only be set when the application is 100% STABLE, nor does M Windows cost that much.

Hi everyone! Apologies for the late update, hit a technical hurdle in resolving the issue of OS killing the services time to time for some users. Ran through many internal tests for weeks but no luck, so pushing a debugger version to all in an attempt to catch the bug. As a bonus, added a new feature in the latest update.

UPDATE: beta_7.1.4_debugger

What's new?

  • Option to hide notifications' content and show on demand with fingerprint unlock

  • Debugger version, attempting to track the bug of services being killed by System.

UPDATE: beta_7.2

What's new?

  • After months of bug hunting, deployed a workaround for the critical Android system level bug that turns off Accessibility Service frequently, expecting a very stable experience with CSOS moving forward!

  • Upgraded version from a debug one to normal beta (removed redundant logging for bug traps.)

To significant portion of the code is re-written, do let me know if something breaks which was already working!

Got it! The current implementation is based on how Android works on the main screen, where you can hide notification content.

I do see a valid case where you want to hide notifications completely, noted, will consider implementing it! :)
Another idea : When I have the phone in my pocket, often the cover screen activates by itself and then launch some app or activate some shortcut so it is annoying. It seems the double tap on the screen happens in the pocket. Do you think you could activate the fingerprint request when you double tap the cover screen ? With this you fix the confidentiality once for all as you can activate what you want because there was an ID authentification from the beginning of the cover screen activation. And you fix also the problem of the accidental activation of the cover screen in the pocket as it will ask fingerprint in the pocket so nothing can be activated without it ?

    That would be great 👍
And maybe the option to toggle this on/off in settings 🤔

And if the toggle on/off setting is in the upper quick settings panel of the cover screen you dont have to open the phone to activate or de-activate the ID request ; Before to put my phone in the pocket I access the upper quick setting panel to activate the ID request. Then I put out the phone of my pocket for a long time so I double tap, do the ID request then access the upper setting panel in cover screen and de-activate the ID request ! ;-)

    Good suggestion! :)

Any way to change the samsung pay coverscreen shortcut from long press home? I Keep accidentally opening apps from app drawer trying to checkout

Not as of now, I will implement options to change the shortcuts in future versions though. :)

That's strange, I haven't lost the Accessibility service in the last couple of weeks (after one of the updates, it fixed it for me).

    Absolutely standard Flip3...

That said, it seems the CSOS is rebooting a lot - is that part of the workaround..?

Could be a good idea to remove the "Welcome User" splashscreen, which is getting to be a bit annoying with so many reboots

Hi guys! Developer of Energy Ring & Access Dots here. Excited to present a mini OS for the cover screen of Z Flip 3 through an App - CoverScreen OS! It shall make your phone's cover screen a fully functional mini phone!

    • Sort apps alphabetically - ascending/decending.
    • Sort apps by recently used first.

    WIDGETS SCREEN:

    • Add almost any widget pixel-perfect aligned for Z Flip 3's cover screen, of any App that you would normally add to your homescreen on the main display.
    • Add as many widgets as you want.
    • Widgets can be set into one of the two sizes.
    • Perform almost all actions on the widgets like clicking on a button to launching its App.

    QUICK TOGGLES SCREEN:

    NATIVE/IN-BUILT TOGGLES:
    • Bluetooth turn on/off
    • Flashlight
    • DND mode
    • Flex Mode - use cover screen while phone is unfolded

    MEDIA PLAYBACK SCREEN:

    • Access all media playbacks from all Apps, as available on your main screen.
    • Theme support.

    EDGE LIGHTING/ON-SCREEN LED NOTIFICATION INDICATOR:

    • Turns on cover screen and glows the edges of your cover screen just like the Edge Lighting on your main screen.
    • You can set a single solid color for all incoming notification or let CSOS apply the App's Icon color.
    • If you have multiple notifications from multiple Apps, they can combine into a beautiful gradient.
    • More colors, customizations under development.

    FLEX MODE:

    • Use cover screen with access to all CSOS features while the phone is unfolded.
    • Keep the phone on your desk or bed in tent-style stand mode.
    • Cover screen stays on until you manually disable Flex Mode or fold back your phone.

    DEVELOPMENT STATUS:

The OS requires some heavy sustained development effort to deliver a feature complete version. The OS has come a long way and it’s mostly stable now as reported by majority of the users.

    THE ORIGIN STORY:

Been working on this project since the original Z Flip, but unfortunately had to suspend development due to cracked screen (that countless folding/unfolding while testing.)

    1641023353249.jpeg

The release of Z Flip 3 with a bigger cover screen was enough incentive for me to be excited about the project once again but unfortunately I again hit a bottleneck as the screen started bleeding this streak of green light right at the center and sometimes whole of second half.

    1641023428051.jpeg

    1641074190997.png

Fearing a cracked screen once again, I had suspended the development yet again… but… that cute little cover screen… here we are. :)

Watch out for new version: early_access_1.9! (Will be available anytime now on Play Store, will notify all once again when it's up, am off to bed now!)

    • Apps launched on cover screen can be 'resumed' on main screen through 'recents' (it used to freeze earlier.)
    • Fixed glitch of screen reunlocking when 'LED' notification is on.
    • Tapping on persistent notification now opens the correct settings page to turn it off.
    • More options to contribute towards the rapid development of the project.
    Notes:

    • The App is yet to be made stable, it should be ready for day to day use in next few versions, please bear with the bugs, they shall be gently squashed! :)
    • Upcoming versions will work along with Samsung's native implementation, allowing access to standard widgets and Samsung Pay!
    • Feel free to flood in feature requests, ideas for the cover screen.
    • Allowing the two notifications appear is the most reliable way for you to know which service is running and which has shutdown unexpectedly - requiring you to manually re-enable them.

    • Notification titled 'CoverScreen OS boot status' corresponds to the Accessibility Service. - re-enable the service if you don't see the notification.
    • Notification titled 'CoverSCreen OS activity status' corresponds to the Notification Access given to CoverScreen OS in your system settings - re-enable the service if you don't see the notification.

Edit: It's now available on Play Store, if you don't see the update, clear the Play Store's storage/cache! Also make sure you're doing a clean install.
