I cracked the top glass on my Nokia 7.1. The image and the digitizer both seem to work ok though.
Looking at available replacement parts, there seem to be 3 varieties available:
a) replacement top glass only
b) replacement top glass with digitizer
c) full LCD/digitizer/glass assembly
there aren't too many Nokia 7.1 screen replacement walkthroughs out there that I could find.
Does the 7.1 use a fused screen/digitizer/glass assembly? I'm guessing it isn't fused, because of the availability of all the separate parts.
Is it even possible to get the top glass off without killing the digitizer? (this would be nice b/c I wouldn't have to open up the back and remove battery, etc. to route the screen cable.)
Or, is it safest just to replace the full screen assembly?
