alright the case itself is good but the screen protector is just horrible! the thing doesn't even fit properly.
The screen protectors with the deal? My mom and I are both using one each, and they fit perfectly and work really well. Nice smooth texture, no glare or fingerprints, and most importantly no bubbles!

Yay, I got mine from the mailbox. It arrived in a plastic mailing bag.

Impressions:
+Looks and feels nice. Soft to hold.
+Stand works well at all three heights.
+ All buttons are accessible, micro sd is easy to remove as thats the part which slides out of the case first.
± Speaker is a bit muffled, but I use headphones all the time anyway.
-Triples the thickness of the nook in my laptop bag

Applied the screen protector perfectly. About 1cm needed to be cut off as it was too long.
It makes the screen much less glossy and less smudge prone, however image quality is reduced too. The screen is now a little less "crisp/vibrant".

edit: found the two magnets :)

Got the case in yesterday. Pleased with it overall. Bought the black case for $13. External material doesn't feel anything like leather, but inner material is good, the nook fits snug and secure inside, and the stand mechanism more than seals the deal. As I feared, a case with a screen flap is less comfortable to hold, but the nice stand seems like a good tradeoff. Biggest complaint is the speaker is covered and muffled, but not a deal breaker for me. Case is less bulky than expected (compared to the b&n case threads)

I bought the silicone skins, as I didn't want a case with a cover. They're thin and offer minimal protection, but the upside is they're not too heavy or bulky. They feel nice in the hand, would recommend if the price goes back down to $5 for the four of them.

I find it easy to hold, my fingers have a good grip thanks to the three strips when folding the cover back. This is a really good design.

A little OT but does anybody know where to get some good chargers for the Nook Color? I've tried some ones I had but none work except the stock one. Thanks.

For now only the stock charger would work. Maybe if you wait a bit there will be enough NCs for chinese to clone the charger for under $5. A bit risky proposition if you ask me.

my review

Ok, I just got the 17-item bundle from Amazon Canada. Not only it came with postage due (for the tune of additional $4.62) but it is junky in the worst sense.
Here's my review that I also posted on Amazon.com:

This bundle does sound like a steal, especially if you can get it for under ten bucks. Unfortunately, it is not very good.

The fake leather cover looks cheap. You definitely won't be able to confuse it with B&N covers. It does have one useful feature (the stand) that works quite well. It is also pretty light and should provide sufficient protection in case you drop your Nook. On the negative side, the magnets that keep cover closed do not work well with Nook inside. They are weak and require precise fitment in order to match with cover. And if you try to flip the cover open, there is no matching magnet on the other side to keep the cover in place.

The supplied chargers (both AC and car) are standard 5V USB chargers. They do not work with Nook Color. The brand Nook charger uses proprietary charger and cable that supplies more juice to the Nook and allows it to be completely recharged in couple of hours. The problem with standard 5V USB chargers is that there is not enough current going to the Nook. It would still charge but only if you keep the screen off and allow it to stand connected overnight. Hardly an ideal situation. But again, being standard 5v USB chargers they should work quite well with your other micro-USB devices, such as phones.

The screen protectors are cheap and do not fit Nook Color screen. They are slightly bigger, making them useless unless you have a very good cutter and a steady hand.

The headphones can be immediately transferred to the garbage bean - they are the cheapest kind possible that would sound awful and hurt your ears from poor fitment.

Probably the best part of the entire bundle are 4 colored silicon covers. These are actually perfect for your Nook Color. They are extremely light, fit snugly, have bumpers on the corners and properly expose all Nook buttons as well as rear speaker and memory card slot. They are also quite sticky, resulting in very good hand handling. The do smell awful when you just open the package but smell dissipates in couple of days and they seem extremely durable to last you a long time. I have no idea why would someone need 4 covers when one is more then enough. At least you can choose the color that works best for your taste. I, personally, like the semi white color best.

The rest of the stuff (junky mini lamp, some assorted audio cables, rubber band and headphone holder/fish skeleton) are included to pad the bundle and make it look more attractive while you probably won't ever use any of them.

So here we have it: excellent silicon covers in 4 color choices, semi-decent full cover with integrated stand and some spare 5V USB chargers that do not work with Nook Color. You'd be the judge whether the asking price for this bundle is fair for you.

Thanks for your thoughts.
- I dont find it junky.
- magnets work fine to keep the cover shut, why would you want to use the case upside down ?
- Chargers are standard and do work (1A), since the nook needs its special cable to fast-charge I use the new charger with my phone.
- I'm using my screen protector just fine (huge reduction in glare and fingerprints). Its easy to cut with just a pair of scissors. Just measure off 1cm and mark 3-4 dots to guide your cut.

I didnt get the silicon cases as i knew I wouldnt need them :p, the headphones are junk as you mention. (they are earbuds, not the comfortable in-ear type).

I didn't even have to cut any of the screen protectors, and I used both. (moms and my nook) Both fit perfect without the need for scissors.

Well quick review:

The leather case overall is good and for the money fantastic. It is bulkier than I'd like. The fit is good and in landscape allows multiple viewing angles. The magnets to hold case close are weak and small but with care work to keep the lid closed.
Overall the quality is not as good as the B&N cases but for 10% of the cost it provides more functionality.

The silicon covers provide nice fit and grippiness. Considering I got 4 of them with the case 2 screen protectors and a bunch of other cables etc. For 14$ including shipping thus was a steal!!!

Haven't tried the screen protectors yet.

Ordered on Mar 29 and still waiting for it as well.
My package was received on Friday. The shipping time is around 2 weeks.

Overall $8.99 shipped to Canada for 17 items is a steal!!! I am sure that if I buy those items at Toronto here separately it will cost me at least $50 - but I won't buy some of them for sure. :) I really not sure how they can make money from selling this at $8.99 shipped from China to Canada. I am sure it is a lot cheap to buy this over dealextreme.com at this price even though I also got a lot of good deals at DX before. :)

The case is not leather but the quality is Ok. If I can find a case like this for $10, I will probably still buy it since a smaller cell phone case like this quality might cost me $10 locally. The case makes me feel my NC a little bit lighter (instead of heavier) as it feels like a book now. Magnets are a bit weak but I didn't find it bothers me much. It does what it need to close my book color properly. The 3 angle viewing design is also liked.

I did need to cut the screen protector but it was not too hard to do. It was too long to have covered the home button if you don't cut it. I wished I don't have to do so but again it doesn't bother me too much. By the way, I like the quality of the screen protector. I was not a fans of using screen protector but after I used it I realized that I should have apply it from the day one. It was much better with the screen protector applied - huge glare reduction and almost no finger print now.... And it didn't really reduce the sensitivity of the screen which I worried.

The 4 silicon cases are with good quality. I bought some other cell phone silicon cases for $2-5 each. This one is of good quality and is prefectly fit. I might use them but why they included 4 which is way too many.... :)

Other items included are not too bad at least when I look at them. I can find some use of them I believe....

Overall, it is a great crazy deal for $8.99 shipped. Thanks OP.:):):)
