CrDroid-v9.0 Pixel 4 XL

Mind making some more detailed directions? I'm coming from version 11 of android (enjoyed the stability) and trying not to lose stuff in the update process.
I have written about this quite a lot through the forums, but basically all you are doing is to copy off and back on your internal SD (everything), with TiB backing up my critical apps, and SMS Backup for TXT/MMS, then I wipe the device, install fresh, then restore on top of the new OS and never lose a thing. I have TXTs from 2015 still on my device, from SMS Backup through multiple devices and OS's, same with my data. Once I copy it off/on, I don't lose a thing.

Let me know what you get stuck on but don't expect to move from Android 11 to 13 with OTA or dirty flashes. You should CLEAN flash it or you risk a lot of headaches. What ROM are you on that's running A11 but wish to upgrade to A13? If its a ROM like LOS, you might be able to OTA update to 13, but again, I would only clean flash. Don't take shortcuts.

Any way to center the time on the lock screen when not using the double-line option?

Do I have to flash boot.img again for this update? Already on crdroid 9.0

there are no data issues with the Jan 20th build, its my daily driver, same with the 5th build, no issues with data so this user needs to give us more info to help otherwise we are guessing and shooting at fish in a barrel hoping one sticks. I can guarantee you that neither Wi-Fi or mobile has internet issues when setup correctly, its ALL I use for work (my droid) so a working ROM is critical to my job!

Yes you are correct , I build crdroid myself been using it no issues with anything and I think some users don't follow instructions properly the reason for there issues.
I have removed my builds link for now until @putzwon reply to my pm.

"Mindthegapps" link as provided by @putzwon is good the phone isn't Hot (battery)..but, the play security isn't CERTIFIED, and will Mindthegapps also required reflashing "gapps" on the next update
Check SafetyNet, make sure you pass, you probably need MagiskPropsHide, I had to enable options 1 and 2 and force to A13 and Pixel 4XL to get it certified. Then it works and will show as certified, plus Netflix and such will work. I have included 4 screenshots for example, so you dont have to guess at what I mean. I simply install LSPosed + SFNFix + MagiskHideProps, then reboot, enable option 1/2 in props, clear PlayStore app data, reboot, and bingo, it will self-certify you.

If I misunderstood you, then please explain but I suspect you meant, Google Play, settings, then status.

I'm on LOS right now but it will work and fix cRdroid and most ROMs. I have 100% personally tested this with cRdroid and recent ROM versions of cRdroid.

It might work, but stick with OP steps, those 110% WORK, but up to you. I gave up on TWRP when A/B partitions came out and chose to just stick with and use stock ROM recovery. That will always work, TWRP, maybe not so much, IDK, it might, but you wont get the same type of help if you choose your own path (TWRP).

Also, just an FYI on nomenclature, this isn't firmware, but ROM, firmware contains all partitions, drivers, ETC., this is just the OS (ROM).
Great question. It kinda sucked to get back into modding Android and see how much it's changed. Sideloading instead of just using TWRP alone is on all the devices installation instructions cause I guess it's easier but extra steps and involves having to use a PC but TWRP has the option to install to both slots. Even rooting with SuperSU is pushed to the wayside in favor of Magisk. Magisk just sounds cheesey but I use it now. And what's his face, the developer of SuperSU who was like the top dude in Android devs sold SuperSU so I guess it can't be trusted. Who really knows actually cause the internet I'm on gives me all kinds of false info. Like 3 or 4 different methods so to learn something one has to take bits from each article and hope you get it right. Just sayin.
