Just wanted to say, I'm thrilled to see the progress made on this ROM and the good reports. Keep up the great work, sbdags. Let you know when I scrape up the nerve to unlock...

A couple of minor things

I have a couple of minor things that maybe somebody knows how to alleviate:
1. On Auto-brightness seems to be constantly getting brighter and dimmer. I suspect it is because of the fluorescent lights in my office. Any way to reduce the sensitivity?
2. Sometimes (more often than I would like) tapping on an icon does not open the app. I think that if I do not hit it straight on, it thinks I am swiping vs tapping. Never had that issue in my old tablet or phone. Any setting I can tweak?

For #1 download trickster mod and make sure smart dimmer is disabled, although I don't like routines for auto brightness and I can't figure out how to tweak them.

#2 In the build.prop file in /system you will see values for max and min fling. Try turning them down as well as the touch sensitivity. I made them quite high as I like a fast scrolling sensitive screen. They sound like they are too high for you?

Perfect! This is exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you!

CROMi-X 6.1 released!

Solved the res changer issues - thanks _that for suggesting to delay the script for 30 secs :)

If you do use the res changer then you will need to reboot one more time after the first boot for it to take properly. Note it is persistent so it survives a reboot :) This should help run some more intensive games better without lags. Thanks to @AngryDinosaur for the idea ;)

ROM is uploading now - enjoy the new version! :D :good:

Since I totally embarrased myself already today, might as well ask another stupid question:
Is there a way to get the JB 4.2 Asus weather widget back? I love the widget but I hate the "next days forecast" that they added on this version. Makes me cringe every time I see it...
Can I extract the widget from CROMi-X somewhere and just stick it in this rom? Or am I just to dull to find a way to turn the bottom part off?

Yeah looks like you are using dpi 300 or 280 but resize it and you can hide the next days ;) On 320 it works perfectly btw.

Hello All,

I'm on a holiday for 3 weeks to the land of the rising sun from tomorrow - April 4th! I'm going to gadget heaven to spend some donations :) Enjoy a bit of peace and quiet please.

I will be logging in at random times to check up on you all ;) But won't be doing updates.

Have a good few weeks....

Now what to buy..... ???

 :victory:

I've been having the same problem. Lowering the fling values has helped. Thanks for the information!

Sound limiting

I have Netflix and a couple of apps that down allow me to increase the volume past half way. I suspect it is some sort of sound limiter to "protect" me. I cannot find where I would turn that off, anybody knows?

Screen problems on TF700 resolution

Hi there,

I installed CROMi-X v.6.1 with the TF700T resolution (1900x1200). Almost everything works perfectly fine - and without bugs - except for a few apps which do their own screen layout (e.g. 'Docs to go' or 'Handy scanner'). With these apps part of my screen is outside my viewing window (probably because the app thinks it has to do with a 2600x1900 screen) and I cannot scroll into this area.

Is there a way to overcome this problem or do I have to reinstall and go for the standard (and slower) TF701T resolution during the install-process ?

Regards,

JOTX10 from the Netherlands

You don't have to reinstall no. (although reinstalling doesn't take long and you can just install over the top so it will keep all your data)

If you want to reset the resolution open a terminal emulator (install one form the market if you don't have one)

Type the following:

Code:
su
wm density reset
wm size reset
