So I finally got my sister to give me the OK to get her CS968 (with a 5MP camera). It arrived this morning. When I get some time over the next few days I will be going over to Freak Tab and updating it to KitKat and putting the correct version of XBMC on it as well. For anyone who might want to know, I have ordered this replacement PSU - I am sure the one it comes with is ok, but just to be on the safe side. One last thing, the specs say that the USB ports are hub ports, so I should have enough power for USB flash drives and the Air Mouse USB Dongle. Hope that helps.

How many Bluetooth devices can I pair at same time?
My smartphone allow only one. If RC connect via BT and device support only one device - its no good.

I cannot find unit with 5mp, I ordered 2mp for $83.99, that is 49.30 in your currency

Hi alex6999. Here is the 5MP one I got for my sister. It looks like the seller only ships to the UK from this auction, but maybe he has a listing on eBay in your region which ships to you... or you could mail him and ask him what the shipping cost is to your region if you buy from the UK eBay site. Anybody have problems with ace stream? Its too slow on my device. May be problem in slow flash memory(I don't have SD card installed) ace stream works very well on my galaxy note-1

Just got my CS968 from ebay.
It's CS968M updated to 4.4.2

The problem is that it's not fully rooted, thus failing root checks.
I tried rooting with adb (from linux) and even though everything seems to be going fine, it doesn't get rooted. Furthermore, when trying to su from android terminal, I get nothing (the cursor waits at the next line).

I've pushed both su and busybox to /system/bin and /system/xbin but still no luck.

Any pointers?

you need just the whrite driver to reconize your device on Windows and install kingo android root just done,
i hatte problem with whrite driver for my Windows 7 64, now ist ok i have root acces

After muxh trial and error, I managed to root the device. Couldn't pinpoint what made things work but I believe it was a fault in the rooting script.

Nevertheless I am having a completely new problem now. I've setup a dlna (upnp) server in linux and even though I can stream fine to my nexus 5, cs968 can't find the upnp server.
Nexus finds cs968 renderer device but trying to stream to it (using nexus as upnp controller) fails too.
I've tried with two servers Ready media (ex minidlna) and PS3 media server with the same results.

Any pointers?

I tried to root me cs968. It's connected with usb cable to my pc. I checked the debugging mode option, I installed the drivers to my pc and then i checked "connect to PC". However when I opened the TPSparkyRoot file I got the message "adb is not a recognized command". plz help me with this...

Just informing you, that if final goal is to install custom Rom, there is no point first to root and then to install the Rom.
I am not sure for all of them, but most Roms are prerooted and can be installed directly.
