What is the most stable KitKat 4.4.2 ROM ?

CS968 v1 x TV LG 42'(42LG80FD)? (flickering)

Friends.
I'm practically giving up updating the firmware of my CS968 - JESURUN (HTC-T018-V1 - 20130816 - AP6210 - CAM: 2MP).
With CR11S_cloudnetgo_ap6210_1080p_20131019_update and CS968-Geass-V1 firmware, works fully on my TV LG 42'(42LG80FD)! 1080p from the start with no problem with the image (screen).
But, when I upgrade to any other version, my TV LG 42'(42LG80FD), seems incompatible!
The image flickers. In recent current firmware in the Android Home screen KitKat the image (screen) is perfect, but (for example), when I use the browser (Internet), image (screen) present flickering.
I exchanged several HDMI cables and the problem persists.
The current firmware in my Monitor / TV LG M237WA (23 '), works perfectly.
But on my TV LG 42'(42LG80FD), not! There is no firmware for my TV.
Can I take any item of firmware CR11S_cloudnetgo_ap6210_1080p_20131019_update, to eliminate the problem of flicker quoted?
I tried all options (http://www.cloudnetgo.com/CR11S5M.htm) without success.

Hey webipsum. I think I had this same problem with my brothers TV. I'll try and dig up the patch, but it's something about the ROM not working in 1080p on some TV's. To test, if you change the resolution to 720p you'll probably find it would. Give me a minute and I'll find the thread and post a link to it.

Couldn't find the actual page, but found a similar topic which tells you how to do it here. I then also found this app which apparently does the same thing.

Finally found the actual thread I was referring to. I saw your post on FreakTab asking the same question... you were very close to a possible answer . I have no idea if this is going to work for you, sorry if it doesn't.

Very strange.
I tried this alternative, but I think the problem is in some file or .img because with the firmware CR11S_cloudnetgo_ap6210_1080p_20131019_update, my TV LG 42'(42LG80FD) works 100% OK (1920x1080p-60 or 1280x720p-60)!
The problem appears when I put any newer firmware with KitKat. Only works 720x480p-60. In 1920x1080p-60 or 1280x720p-60, the screen flickering.
I even extract the files from the image, but do not know where to look, the config most suitable to my TV LG 42'(42LG80FD).

No sound after reset

I decided to do a factory reset on my box today after having dome trouble watching streams. But after the reset I have no sound!!! I have looked through the settings and cannot get my head around it.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Hi, can you give more details:
Is it a Jelly Bean rom or kitkat rom?
which audio out is used ( HDMI or Optical Out)?
Hope you have tried going to Settings >> Sound >> Sound Output Devices ; and then going through the available options.
I had a problem earlier with Optical Output in the original JB Rom (it was not saving the settings even if I select optical o/p), which was eventually solved after upgrading to KitKat.
Lastly, if nothing works, why not try RESET once again or flash Rom freshly with RK Batch tool and wipe cache?

Guys I have the CS969 box running Kit Kat I've noticed that I am unable to turn location services on which is annoying as I cannot get the NHL Gamecenter app to work without it being on.

Is there anyway to correct this?!

Help - Screen Flickering & Resolution Issues !

I have recently brought a CS968A Android Tv Box & I need some necessary & genuine help in the following issues :


1) The Picture on the screen of my Sony FHD Bravia CX42 TVhttp://www.sony.co.in/product/klv-32cx420 flickers & comes on & off while i connect the CS968A to my aforesaid Sony TV through HDMI & select a resolution of [email protected]/50Hz or even in [email protected]/50hz from the Display settings on my CS968A. The Picture is only stable at 720x576 or 720x480, but looks very poor in my Sony Full HD Tv! Well I would have considered my new Cs968A "defective" if not otherwise it would have not shown Perfect picture on my another tv ,a Samsung 51"FHD 51D550 tv,http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/samsung-ps51d550-201109221412.htm where it outputs everything perfectly on the tv screen at all the resolutions i.e [email protected]/50Hz, [email protected]/50hz or even the SD resolution of 720x576 or 720x480. Now i would have concluded that my Sony Bravia Tv or its HDMI port is at fault, unless the same flickering issue ,screen picture coming on & off ,would be troubling me again on my Asus 24" FHD MK241H http://www.asus.com/Monitors_Projectors/MK241H/Desktop monitor through HDMI (just like my other Sony Bravia Tv or even worse off). Now I'm really perplexed what to make out of this situation?

i) Is my Sony Bravia FHD Tv or its HDMI port faulty ? (My HP Laptop however connects to this same Sony Bravia TV through HDMI "Perfectly")

ii) Also Is my Asus 24" FHD MK241H Desktop monitor or its HDMI port faulty? (My HP Laptop however connects to this same Asus 24" FHD MK241H Desktop monitor through HDMI "Perfectly")

iii) Is my particular CS968A unit faulty or very quirky in selecting to output perfectly on Samsung Tv ,leaving in lurch the Sony Tv or the Asus Monitor ?

iv) or is it simply the Problem of the New 4.4.2kitkat rom of the CS968A(which came installed in the box)which is quite unstable & produces erratic display output issues?

2) If it indeed is the case of a unstable Rom ,then can this very helpful community at XDA here recommend me(also provide a link) to the best rom (better if pre-rooted) which would be a perfect fit & run stable for my CS968A device to display it on all tv/monitor perfectly in FullHd resolution without trouble/any other quirks? *Also as i am new to cs968a & no android guru, help me how to flash the new rom as easy as possible !

3) I have noticed that the display from the CS968A on my Samsung FHD tv is NOT as sharp or crisp (even in [email protected]/50hz) compared to any other Normal 1080p output from any other source( for ex display of my Hp laptop on my Samsung FHD Tv) through HDMI, which i believe is because the new 4.4.2 kk Rom comes only with a 720p kernel where the Native resolution is actually 1280x720 & everything is upscaled, unlike FullHD 1920x1080 Native resolution which is advertised on the box. Even CPUZ & Antutu shows the display as 1280x720/688.

So the Crux of my question comes to this :-
Which is the Best Android 4.4.2K.K based rom which would provide me a TRUE FullHD 1920x1080p Native kernel resolution & is also very stable,works with all Tv/Monitors( even better if comes pre-rooted), "DOES NOT BRICK MY DEVICE/CS968A" & also does NOT have any other quirks or functions/features of the CS968A taken away ?

** Also i have found that the Built-in camera of the CS 968 is just terrible/nightmarish, so can i attach a different better quality/brand webcam so that i can actually do some skype calls ?

Have you paired both devices?
Also we have almost 2015 and I find it like really old way of transfer to use BT.
There is Wifi direct, so use some application like superbeam to send your files fast and easy.

CS968 HD Video slow motion / lag with MyGiga PT360 tuner

Hi,

I got a MyGiga PT360 DVB-T2 tuner connected to CS968. When I go to the HD channel, the video is in slow motion / lag, but SD is ok. Is there something I missed?
