Strange, because I haven't experienced that issue, playstore gave me no error or warning or caution, antutu benchmark recognizes CS968 as Samsung GT-9300.
Did you installed any programs that relevant with build.prop may be?
Which programs you cannot install, can you give a few names, so I can check it for you.
Some apps:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.zwanoo.android.speedtest
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lidroid.fileexplorer

Airdroid also cannot be installed: Not Compatible

Some games cannot run, it stuck such as : Temple Run & Temple Run 2

Tried using Tincore Keymapper but it lags very badly, almost unusable, is it because the screen size?

CS968 NHL Gamecenter Live

Anyone using NHL Gamecenter Live with this ROM? Just got my CS968 and factory rom would not playback games or any live ones, only play condensed games and always freezes. Just flashed this rom and it will playback full games now but only if I select ALL for kbps. If I change it to anything higher I get the NHL Logo again. Thought it might be a bandwidth issue but I have 25mbps and speedtest.net shows full speed. I'm also connected via ethernet not wifi but tried both. I'm new to this whole thing so not sure what has been changed between the original rom and this new one but it seems like a step in the right direction. I will try a live game tonight and update this thread. Does anyone know why the playback of condensed game and full game are different? It even looks like a different resolution. You would think they would just clip the original broadcast but the condensed playback is definitely a different size screen. Any help is much appreciated...:)

Live games are now playing but resolution or kbps is low. Picture is very grainy and when you select anything other than AUTO for kbps it goes back to NHL Logo which I believe means the stream player crashes.

Hello, ty for the roms, are very nice indeed. Anybody knows a way, to have every time cs968 load in full screen, and not have the "buttons" that appear on the bottom? I know i can minimize that with an air mouse, but i search for a more permanent solution.

Ty ;)

There is an app called Fullscreen that will do it but you have to be rooted.

Yes you it is strange but true, however I think its not about spoofing, I assume these apps needs special permisions which our device can not provide.
I'm not sure about that but what ever you change device name, market doesn't allow to install these progs.
How ever you can install them from external source.

Airdroid also cannot be installed: Not Compatible

I didn't tried with Temple run series but Blueput works well with Subway surfer, but not awesome at all :)

I'm assuming that you talking about somekind of "Live Stream" and you wanna watch it smoothly.
This is a particular application, and it may not be fully compatible with our device.
However...
If this program doesn't use its own embedded player then you can try BSPlayer, or Wondershare player (For me this is the best player for streaming) or else.
I'm sorry I can't help too much, cause I do also not know much about it.

I suppose you need to disable soft buttons, for that you must add this lines to build.prop and restart.

End of this section...

Code:
#
# ADDITIONAL_BUILD_PROPERTIES
#
"qemu.hw.mainkeys=1"

But remember: You'll loose power off option from that menu too.

I hope this helps.

----------------------------------------------------------->

For now, I have still no time to try to some extras/changes/additions/fixes with this rom, very busy.
Sorry for difficulties, may be troubles that you getting from this modified firmware, it is imperfect but works fast and stable ( at least on most cases :) ).

Regards.

Hi again,

I'm not quite sure if the following is ment to be posted in this thread... but anyway:
I just tried to get the RKBatchTool recognize my Cloudnet CR11/s. I used the RKBatch package v1.7 with the RockChip Drivers 3.5 and installed them after connecting the CR11/s in reset mode (or whatever it is called) for Win7 x64. "Connect to PC" is disabled and "USB Debugging" is enabled. In my "Device Manager" the CR11/s is shown as "Rockusb Device" in the device group "Class for rockusb devices". Still the RKBatchTool didn't recognize my CR11/s (not even when I grand it administrative rights)... I tried it on my Desktop-PC and my Notebook but the result was the identical.

I would be thankful for any idea concerning my issue.

Have a nice day

Hi,

Actually I'm not a linux programmer, just have some knowledge about it.
For the sleep&wake-up I'll look it for you.

Did you followed this guide, USB debugging mode isn't necessary to do.
and you must use right usb connector labelled HOST.
Try again while following my guide and report if it didn't help.
Have a nice day.

Hi, thanks for your reply,

I used the USB-Port next to the Micro-SD slot labeled: OTG and I took you guide :-S
I remember similar problems when trying to root/flash my HTC OneX or Tramsformer Pad Infinity. Those where solved by installing the full HTC / ASUS Software Suit for those devices (at first I always tried to install only the USB driver without these blown up suits...). What confuses me is that Windows7 seems to register the device as it should, but still the RKBatchTool doesn't respond to the connected device at all.

If you have good pc, I mean can handle Virtual machine then you may try with VMWare or Virtualbox with clean windows installation or linux.

Removing all of RKxxx drivers and also USB drivers from system and reinstalling chipset drivers afterward Rk31xx drivers is also an opinion.

Hope this helps.

Ok I think reinstalling the USB-System-Drivers is what I'm going to try. Would you prefere USB 2.0 or USB 3.0. Concerning a USB 2.0 device I assume that the answer is quite clear, but perhaps there's something I miss.

My PC should be able to handle VMWare (please excuse my showing off at this point xD):
I7-4770K
Asus Maximus 6 Formula
16 GB DDR3 Cosair RAM
Asus HD7970GHz
Crucial M4 SSD

But setting up a new Windows is a bit annoying (did this about 25 times in the last 4 Months...). Aside from this PC I have two quite fresh Ubuntu 13 Notebooks available. Is there a different tutorial for flashing a ROM via Linux?

Have a nice da... weekend:good::laugh:

Indeed you have a strong pc :)
Installing windows on a virtual machine takes not much time (for me 20-30 minute) and if you keep the virtual windows clean you can use it allways, I suggest you to use Virtual box or VMWare.

I'm using kubuntu 13.1 virtually, but didn't flashed via linux however If you install drivers on ubuntu correctly then you can flash easily but needs some "How to do" knowledgeand a bit experience.

There is a guide for you for flashing RK3xxx devices under Linux system [External-Link to CNX software web site].

Its not my work, done by a CNX-Software self
Thanks to their guide you can understand flash your device.

Success :good:
...and good weekends.

Ok out of a strange reason flashing worked with a friends' notebook. I tried a Pre-Rooted Stock ROM for the beginning and it worked fine (most importantly AdBlocking!). Still I can't wait to get the 5MP version of your ROM. :D

Have nice day:cowboy:

Hi EQUANCY,

In the next rom can you make a vsync fix?
Source:
http://www.freaktab.com/showthread....overclock-vsync-fix-any-binary-rk3188-kernel!

Thanks a lot for your work.:good:

It is kernel releated thing, well possible.
I'm going to try asap these kernels and choose the best one for our devices and I want some overclocking on our devices, but may be you also aware of that our tvboxes equipped with lower/cut version of Rk31xx soc, called Rk3188-T.
Which means there is not much OC possibility and need test, and that takes time.

I actually waiting for new firmware from factory, may be we can get a Kitkat rom, there is already Kitkat SDK for RK3xxx devices but not optimised for CS968.

And we have other issues, such as Board differences.
there are 3 models with small changes (Wifi and bluetooth) and 2 and 5 mpx versions is other question.

So, lets wait and see a bit time more what comes next...

-> Delta_07
I'll try to compile a multi-platform rom for both camera versions, I don't think it is a big deal, but it needs some research and time.
And above issues also applied for 5mpx version (board numbers).
But as I said before, not a big deal.

Have a nice day guys.

The vsync fix is important if you can do it (fixes frame skipping during video playback). The overclocking is not important.

Here I write a simple guide for you, I'm assuming you are using windows xp or higher...

    Step 1 [ Preparing ]

First download RK-Batchtool and drivers, unzip them a location where you can find easily, Example : C:\Rk311 or so, and also download firmware image here so you don't need to search for it.

Now power off your device, you don't need to set USB debugging mode or so, not necessary...
You need an USB cable with both sides full size (Type-A)
There is a reset hole a side of the device, just by USB ports.
And the opposide side you'll see one of USB ports as HOST port there is also label and MicroSD socket, this port you must use.
Connect your usb cable to this port but not to pc yet.

You don't need AC adapter to be connected, USB is enough.

    Step 2 [ Flashing ]

    1. While holding reset button connect your device to your PC, install necessary drivers and open RKBatch Tool.
    2. If you connected your device properly then you' ll see one of the ports Green.
    3. Select rom which you want to flash while clicking Browse.
    4. If it is correct rom then you'll see some information about roms then click Restore,
    5. If not then you'll receive an Error message choose correct rom then try again and next to 6..
    6. Wait for erasing device memory...
    7. Your device will reboot (DO NOT PLUG-OUT)
    8. After reboot RK-Batchtool goes to start flashing firmware to your device, wait till ends.
    9. After flashing new firmware will be checked for sure, after %100 your device will be restarted then you may plug it out.
Look at the attachment you can see how it is looks like if you did everythings correctly.

    Hope this guide helps.

    Success... :good:
    2
    As promised pictures spread board.
It shows that the board revision number 3 and Mediatek chip costs
may be due to the fact that the chip is not AP6210, and Mediatek.

Your device is different than ours, WIFI module is another brand, so another drivers and modules are necessary.

    V2: AP6210
    V3: MT5931 Wifi and MT6622
    bluetooth

You need specific firmware for your device, because these drivers must be initialized at boot time.

Sorry but this rom is not for you.
    2
Well even if the ported ROM does not work, there are two possibilities (correct me if I'm wrong):

    1. Software isn't working with my hardware which can be solved by flashing a stock or different ROM
    2. Hardware gets damaged through "wrong" or incompatible software (worst case) and device turns into salvage...

Taking a look at the company CloudNet I tend to believe that they wouldn't go through the trouble of using a different hardware "layout" (except perhaps a different camera) to upgrade there device by nothing else then 3MP... therefore my amateur expectation is that the ROM should work more or less fine.
Or did I miss something important?

Probably this firmware will work on your device (except camera), but your device may also not boot again...
However, I think it can still be recoverable while flashing its original firmware.
But, it is risky and yes your device may become unrecoverably damaged.

I have also firmware of 5 mpx version, as I said before I can mod it later (Weekend), this will be harmless and won't damage your device.
But, I can't test it and I may not be able to see its working good or bad, even is rooted or not.

I've got my TV01. I flashed this rom, and for now everything is all right.
Nice work and big thanks. :good:

    Your welcome.
    2
I hope this information will warn others of this problem.
I think it is necessary to specify in the header of your theme.
Firmware great pity is not suitable for us (
Be able to finalize it for us if I can get a dump of firmware V.3 board?
Or even try to supplement only driver module for Wi-fi and BT if possible.
    Thank you!

I didn't know anything about 3rd version of wifi, but I'll put it information at first post.

I've figured out both kernel modules have been supplied in firmware, only difference is initialisation of drivers.
I think you can test WIFI, if you still have my firmware on your device.

    Set WI-FI state OFF and
    Try this commands from terminal.

    Code:
        su
        chmod 0644 /system/lib/modules/mt5931.ko
        insmod mt5931.ko

Try to turn WIFI-ON if won't work then you need your own drivers and modules so this is very complicated.
