Ok I did something stupid and well just tried the rom to see if it would work, and guess what it doesnt. Answered my own question

I had to repair my pc, actually I've got new system.
Recently the motherboard burned out because of Power suppy so I've built new system.
Thanks for providing new roms, I'll take a look today and lets see what can I do.

That roms hve totally lag free from sustem UI, the interface is pretty smooth with many fps compared with other old roms. I think this official last realesed have hw accellation working on system interface. Check it. I really apreciate your work. Maybe you can turn it at 1080p and keep smooth!!!! I'm with crosses fingers!!! Hegege you can do!!!
Not sure if this actually makes it 1080p but there is a setting in settings/screen/hdmi mode that is 1080p. Hope it helps, if not oh well I tried. lol good luck

Hi there, I bought what is called an HX8-C made by a Chinese company called Lichine. Seems identical to CR11s and CS968.
It has a HTC-TO18-V4 board inside and uses the Mediatek chipset for wi-fi/bluetooth.
Wondered if anyone had any experience of this and its compatability with any ROMs or anything else.

I am so happy to see that there is a thread and custom ROM for CS968. Big Thanks to @EQUANCY.
I ordered this device for my parents in India, currently this device is working fine with standard ROM but I know sooner or later I will be installing custom ROM. (Only problem is I have to do this remotely from UK with hands and eyes support from my dad, though he is loving playing around with this devices under my guidances).
I have 2MP camera model and I mostly use it for Video Conf with my family. I would just like to know if this device can support USB Camera (
Logitech HD Webcam C525 in particular) if not is it easy to make this work on this device ?
Secondly I thought its worth ordering RII RT-MWK25 2.4GHz Air mouse to make it easy to operate for non-technical person, it says there is mic in this device which can used with Android TV for Audio Video Call but I cannot get it to work,
Has anyone use this or knows how can I enable this ?
PS: I would be able to give you more information but I haven never used this device personally so I might be missing some stupid configuration or setting to make it work so any help/advice is highly appreciated.

Hi Equancy. I have 2 of these boxes (CS968) with different WiFi/BT chipsets. I have a 2Mpx camera version with MTK chipset and a 5Mpx camera version with AP chipset... well not 100% true, one is my sisters box and the other is my cousins box - but they are both less technical than me and I am the person who puts a new ROM on their box. If you have any 2Mpx/MTK ROM you need to test then I can help. If you have any 5Mpx/AP ROM which you need to test I can help as well.

I do need your link to these firmware modules. I do have one CS968 2mpx camera rk3188, but for any reason WiFi does not work at all [only wired ethernet works], After installing that ROM. That ROM is a perfect one. But no WiFi for me. Could you give me your link for me to try the modules?

Oh! I do have the same board (htc t018 v4). I still am looking for a rom to get native 1080p on it. This ROM does, but I lose WiFi/BT.

Firmware flashing guide.

Step 1 [ Preparing ]
First download RK-Batchtool and drivers, unzip them a location where you can find easily, Example : C:\Rk311 or so, and also download firmware image here so you don't need to search for it.
Now power off your device, you don't need to set USB debugging mode or so, not necessary...
You need an USB cable with both sides full size (Type-A)
There is a reset hole a side of the device, just by USB ports.
And the opposide side you'll see one of USB ports as HOST port there is also label and MicroSD socket, this port you must use.
Connect your usb cable to this port but not to pc yet.
You don't need AC adapter to be connected, USB is enough.
Step 2 [ Flashing ]
- While holding reset button connect your device to your PC, install necessary drivers and open RKBatch Tool.
- If you connected your device properly then you' ll see one of the ports Green.
- Select rom which you want to flash while clicking Browse.
- If it is correct rom then you'll see some information about roms then click Restore,
- If not then you'll receive an Error message choose correct rom then try again and next to 6..
- Wait for erasing device memory...
- Your device will reboot (DO NOT PLUG-OUT)
- After reboot RK-Batchtool goes to start flashing firmware to your device, wait till ends.
- After flashing new firmware will be checked for sure, after %100 your device will be restarted then you may plug it out.

Your device is different than ours, WIFI module is another brand, so another drivers and modules are necessary.
V2: AP6210
V3: MT5931 Wifi and MT6622 bluetooth
You need specific firmware for your device, because these drivers must be initialized at boot time.
Sorry but this rom is not for you.2
Probably this firmware will work on your device (except camera), but your device may also not boot again...
However, I think it can still be recoverable while flashing its original firmware.
But, it is risky and yes your device may become unrecoverably damaged.
I have also firmware of 5 mpx version, as I said before I can mod it later (Weekend), this will be harmless and won't damage your device.
But, I can't test it and I may not be able to see its working good or bad, even is rooted or not.

I didn't know anything about 3rd version of wifi, but I'll put it information at first post.
I've figured out both kernel modules have been supplied in firmware, only difference is initialisation of drivers.
I think you can test WIFI, if you still have my firmware on your device.
Set WI-FI state OFF and
Try this commands from terminal.
Code:su chmod 0644 /system/lib/modules/mt5931.ko insmod mt5931.ko
Try to turn WIFI-ON if won't work then you need your own drivers and modules so this is very complicated.
