I ask for your understanding as I know I am a dino and my tablet is ancient. But it has served me well and continues to do so, and more modern tablets that fell on my hands were of worse quality (a coupe of samsungs for sure). So bear with me a little as I need some guidance.
My problem is that youtube cancelled the old vanced version I was using and told me to update.
I tried to update to the last vanced version (17.03.38) but it needs microg and unfortunately after a many tries I found out that my rom (resurrection remix 5.7.4, android 6) doesn't support spoofing signatures (so no microg for me).
My one idea is to try to patch the last youtube that supports android 6 (that is 17.34.36) with the revanced CLI and install it as root so it doesn't need microg

The other idea is to try to patch signature spoofing but alas my ResRemix is also a odex system so no easy way out
