Make sure that your auto-brightness is turned ON.
Can you check and tell if you go from a dark black to a bright place, the brightness is turns up automatically but when you come back to the dark place, the brightness remains the same (High), that is, it does not turn down? Without locking or turning the screen off anywhere in the middle of this.

it does work pretty well, it goes bright in sunlight(or bright places) and it does fade in dark places
