Perhaps the tchat fonctionnalities of google messages are not compatible with other SMS apps ?

I could not get the SMS to work reliably, even after flashing G message.

So I have wiped the phone and SMS performance is still random. I don't think it is due to Nikgapps.

The only reason I've ever reinstalled GApps is if I needed to flash a completely new ROM. Otherwise, the Play Store takes care of things.

Hi, Anyone tried Google (Sound) Recorder? It caused my phone to restart on first use. Thereafter no sound recorded.

Why not if they release new versions?

The new versions are those tweaks or just new versions by the compiler of the Gapps, eg OpenGapps BitintheGap or the developer of Nikgapps.

Gapps, most if not all self-updates. So why put out new packages? It saves you from updating the packages from the Play store.

Historical info:
Google Play services, some old versions 6 or 7 do not accept time settings via wifi and crashed. The result is no Play store.

The fix is to manually set the time, for Play services to run so that it can update itself to ver 8 via the Play store. Thereafter it takes network time from anywhere.

Rom Installed on my Phone: Nusantara Project V2.8
My Phone: Asus Zenfone Max M2 (X01AD)

Been try nikgapps core on latest Redmi note 8 21.8.4 beta rom everything was find until I try to sign in to playstore the sign in button just blinking but not get through and in the account&sync there is no Google option on add an account any suggest sorry for my poor english

Hello Nik. Awesome work you have going on. I sideloaded your Gapps package along with Havoc OS 4.6 on my Redmi 5 Plus. The problem is i can't add my already existing Google account on Chrome.

When I launch Chrome, then tap on "sign in to chrome" and "add account" it takes me to a page to sign in to Google afresh and this doesn't let me add my already existing Google accounts on my device. When I try to sign in with a different account, the process crashes and restarts Chrome.

Is there anything I can do to resolve this?

thanks for the reply somehow i manage to use playstore after i dirty flash the rom from previous rom and reflash latest nikcore gapps thanks

Google Play Store has been corrupted on Android R - core package. Even though I checked in the folder /system/product/priv-app/Phonesky there was a Phonesky.apk file, the APK file was corrupted, so the Google Play Store was not installed.

Maddening day here with trying to flash NikGapps-full-arm64-11-20210804-signed.zip

Keeps overwriting my /sdcard/NikGapps/nikgapps.config and installing every bloody package...then failing saying storage is full when its not (i increased my /system_a/b to 3Gb each)

Also trying the same after first reboot into system...same issues, ignored config, storage full

Flashing omni of same date processes the config properly...

Can you send me the installation logs when the config doesn't get recognized and it overwrites the original config value?

I think you need to state what is the date of the Gapps
