I've not touched my HTC Desire and now I'm back with it. I'm running the stock rom and I would like a kernel that's battery saving while not compromising on performance. Do your have any recommendations?

The Desire kernel scene was never at the same active levels as current devices.

The main thing you need to ensure is that you flash a compatible one for your ROM. E.g. sense kernel for sense ROMs, AOSP kernel for AOSP ROMs.

As for which gives the most battery without compromising performance...they will all claim or offer this to varying degrees....that's generally the point of custom kernels ;)

You need to experiment for your usage, not someone else's to get the best feel. Apply the same logic for all devices/kernels/ROMs
