Custom rom S20 FE 4G/5G

Good morning everyone

The S20 FE 5G / 4g has been more than 1 year since its launch and until today no custom rom. I already leave the twrp for him I already tested it works very well. Why don't I have a rom yet?

edit: If you have any interested dev I think it was better to create a pure android rom as in google pixels

I don't know how long a year is in your country.
For me it's only been seven months since it was released in September...
There are still 5 months until the year is full. And you speak of more than a year?

Barely half a year, and even in some parts of the world not even that much. The problem is recent released upgrade and lack of kernel source.

Besides I don't see reason at this time to install any of custom ROMs - because they can hardly tackle the problems in the official build without considerable testing and research, personally. So what is the rush?

And unlike MIUI trash, One UI 3.1 is very decent and doesn't require, yet another AOSP custom rom to remedy that

Quase meio ano, e mesmo em algumas partes do mundo nem tanto. O problema é a atualização lançada recentemente e a falta de fonte do kernel.

Além disso, não vejo razão neste momento para instalar qualquer ROMs customizadas - porque eles dificilmente podem resolver os problemas na compilação oficial sem consideráveis testes e pesquisas, pessoalmente. Então, qual é a pressa?

E ao contrário do lixo MIUI, One UI 3.1 é muito decente e não requer, mais uma rom personalizada AOSP para remediar isso

I don't really like a user interface due to the big changes made to the system. I am waiting for a customrom similar to the pixels and also to unlock the esim instead of the onenui that is blocked

The user interface is easily solved even without opting out for rooting a phone or custom ROMs.

After all skin that One UI is using can be switched by some other skin that is vanilla-like. As for eSim, I don't have a problem with that, cause I chose a provider which doesn't force that on me (I prefer the removable micro-physical), lol but I get the reason why you would want it.

i have been using pe+ gsi for a few months now, works perfectly

Well you could ask the ROm dev onve he is done with making a oneUi if he/she might want to try making an AOSP rom.

hopefully they'll make a super lite OneUI rom with an aroma installer for all extras people might not want.

just a thought... anyone waiting to try this custom rom will be relying on TWRP most likely so they should probably stop updating their phones. actually they needed to stop at April. it looks like Samsung releases the kernel sources just as the phone gets updated.
the next TWRP that comes out might not work with an up-to date system.

there's a telegram group for getting GSI roms up and running for both FE versions.
if you can search for groups you don't belong to I don't know how.
