I have an old Vodafone Sensation that I wanted to update to Kitkat and give it to my eldest son as his first phone.

So I have done the following:
Unlock bootloader
S off
Rooted
Superuser
Ext4 Recovery

So found a nice 4.4.4 rom (Carbon) and deep cleaned the phone and fat32 formated the SD card using Ext4. When I try and install the ROM through Ext4 it says status 0 installation aborted. Tried with a couple of ROMs but all say the same. Now the phone only boots to splash screen no further. I tried to get a recovery.img for vodafone from the RUU but couldnt find the temp files so can't get back to stock or install new.

Anyone any ideas as my son is excited about the phone but I can't figure out how to get over the status 0 error.

Any help much appreciated

Searching for that error code would be much faster instead of opening another thread with that question.

Install latest 4ext recovery and you'll be fine
