Custom ROM with reliable WiFi Tethering?

Have installed Lineage OS on my Honor 5x. Everything is great except tethering which is not reliable. Have already posted a question https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/help/lineage-os-tethering-reliable-t3759404 regarding this subject three days ago and haven't got any reply.

I know that the Honor 5x is outdated and that the interest in this device is very limited today. But I still hope that some people have installed custom ROMs on this device and are using WiFi tethering.
So please: if anybody has installed a custom ROM on this device and can use WiFi tethering without regular interruptions, please post which ROM you are using. I really prefer not to go back to Android 6 Stock ROM.

Comeon people! 25 People have watched this thread. Can't imagine that nobody has installed a custom ROM on Honor 5x and hasn't used the device as a hotspot. Have over 100 apps on my device and it's so much work to try every custom ROM to find one that has a reliable WiFi Hotspot.

Thank you all advance for any feedback!

Can anybody explain why nobody is answering this very simple question? Do I violate any XDA regulations?
No you did nothing wrong.
I dont know what you mean by hot-spot not working well. It works for me on crdroid. But may be there are some interruptions which i dont notice.
Anyway, try adding net.thetering.noprovisioning in build prop to true

Thank you very much for your help! This helped a lot. But I don't know if tethering is working much better because I have rooted the device (had to do that for making the modification in build.prop), or if it's better because the net.thetering.noprovisioning=true modification.

Before rooting and this modification, hotspot clients briefly (5 to 20 seconds) disconnected all one to five minutes, details look https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/help/lineage-os-tethering-reliable-t3759404 .
After rooting and this modification, I could work for nearly three hours without any noticeable interruption :). However, after three hours, the hotspot stopped working completely. The Honor 5x still showed that two clients are connected, but the hotspot was not visible anymore. Had to reboot the Honor 5x for making the hotspot working again.

I'm nearly sure that with Lineage OS, the hotspot doesn't work as it should without root. It always showed that 2 to 3 devices are connected when switching on the hotspot, even if not one device was connected. After rooting, the Honor 5x shows the correct number of connected devices. It's a disadvantage of Lineage OS compared to B370 Stock ROM that only the number of connected clients are visible, and not each connected client with it's MAC address.

Good if it works a bit better.
I made a tipo dont know if you corrected it yourself.
It is:
net.tethering.noprovisioning=true

Tethering and not thetering.

Otherwise look on Google may be other settings can be set to not have a KO after 3 hours....

Thank you for the clarification. But this entry in build.prop makes no difference: The WLAN Hotspot stops working about every 30 minutes in average (between 5 minutes and 3 hours). Sometimes, reconnecting to the hotspot works, sometimes the hotspot ist no longer visible to client devices. On the Honor 5x, it says that 0 clients are connected. Disable and re-enable the hotspot does not help in this case. Have to enable/disable flight mode or reboot the Honor 5x.

Is it worth to try another custom ROM than Lineage OS? According the development threads, nearly all costom ROM's are derived from Lineage OS.

Its not that much to test another ROM. Backup your ROM los, DL a ROM with also gapps and try...

Citruscaf under yuweng thread but is from July2017.
Otherwise yes all los based.

EDIT: try last crdroid may be its a bit better.
