Yeap i have the same problem. just replace gallery app with this one : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3unaNNj7pBNaGx2ckVVNFVBbGc/view?pli=1 (system/app, permissions 0644 (rw-r--r--) ) do not forget backup old gallery.

Anyway i use AOSP 4.4.3 and im really satisfied with it. works very smooth, no errors, xposed and gravity works just fine too

all in all my recomendation for AOSP 4.4.3

Newer roms

Hi.
I want to comment on two ROMs I've tried.
Please not I don't use Data Connection, just Wifi.

SlimCat 2.1:

It's really nice, and light, I think it's close to AOSP.
All the apps I use work just fine: Gravitybox, Adaway, Youtube Adaway, Amplify, Print Spool, etc.
Although, I have a few issues:
Speaker too high (I have to use a DSM manager to lower volume all the time)
WiFi signal is low (there are a few fixes out there, that increase signal a little)
1 or 2 weekly reboot (maybe issues with my SD).

Alice Project 9.1.2:

It has a nice "L" interface, and a lot of customization features.
All hardware features work, GPS, Wifi, BT.
I few issues I have:
Google Cloud Print doesn't work. Gravity box seems to cause issues with systemui.
Battery duration is not that good, I have to disable "Ok Google" setting to extend battery life (I always do it anyway).

I think I'm going back to SlimCat now.

It is AOSP 4.4.3 version by slavka1988 here is the link

What's Alice Project 9.0 Revolution like? As well, is English an option in it, or is it all in Russian?

I've installed 9.1.2 directly. I think all custom ROMs have all languages.
Alice starts in russian, without the first boot wizard, so you have to go to settings and change it.
But it has english, spanish, french, etc.

Tried.
These are NOT the original STOCK boot anims for the Idol X, maybe these are AOSP ones.
Does someone have the original STOCK boot animations for the Idol X 4.2.2 ??

I have upgraded from the stock 4.2.2 and I thought I'd never get my original phone back but the mobile upgrade to seems to work no matter what. Try that

This is a question for anyone else who may be using the TCL950 ROM - is any one ride getting an "incorrect charger being used" message on start up? And if so how can I fix?

When running Xposed though, DO NOT update the Xposed binary or it will break! Once you get playing with it though and do some build.prop editing, it can look like a totally different device.

Make sure you're using the proper version. GB KK will only work on KitKat, as well as GB JB only works on Jelly Bean. If it doesn't work, go to the official threads for them and download it from there directly, then sideload it onto your device or install it from the SD card if you downloaded it using your device's browser.

2.3.1 should work, it's what I'm running. Downloading the newer Xposed will have GB bootloop your device. Try finding other versions of 2.3.1 online, or check the Xposed Repository for it. It should work. You're on 4.2.2 right?

I dl 2.3.1 from the repository and yes atm 4.2.2

Well, if your Xposed Bridge version is 36 it should work. I'm not sure what else to do at this point.
