Before reading on you should know that this ranking is my personal opinion with my phone, you should test each ROM on your own and have the final say on which ROM to use and which one suits you best. Remember that there is no such thing as the best ROM.

-> Stock: It isn't custom but works great.

-> crDroid: AOSP rom, Android 13.

-> ArrowOS: AOSP rom, Android 13. Battery friendly and minimal customization. Recommended for users who don't care about maximum performance. Few visual bugs.

-> LineageOS: AOSP rom, Android 12.1. Userdebug builds, some apps (like games) won't work without spoofing. Few visual bugs.

-> xiaomi.eu: MIUI rom, Android 13. Closed source. I don't recommend it for this: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads...ystem-update-wont-install-on-xiaomi-eu.70000/

-> EliteROM: MIUI rom, Android 13. Same as xiaomi.eu + few addons.

Honorable mentions:

-> LineageOS for MicroG: Same as LineageOS + MicroG installed.

-> DivestOS: AOSP rom. Maximum security.

-> /e/: AOSP rom, same as DivestOS, seems depracated.


ROMs to avoid:

-> Decrypted /data.
-> Outdated or depracated.
-> Old security patch.
-> Gaming roms.
-> Paid roms.
-> Closed source roms (I forgive xiaomi.eu 😂)

Also, try to avoid custom kernels.

If you need help write a post here in XDA or use Telegram groups for this device. Hope you find the best ROM for your need.

It doesn't bypass Safetynet by default, userdebug ROM, bugs in launcher when clicking home button, NFC and Bluetooth don't work.

Also, if you are using LineageOS for 2 years, which firmware version are you using?

Safetynet pass by default is correct, that's intended, but can we worked around. I have not experienced the launcher bug. NFC and Bluetooth work for me!

I was on LOS 18.1 with firmware 12.0.3.0 i think, now im using 13.0.3.0 with LOS 19.1

Maybe those issues were there when it was still unofficial, but is has been official since 1.5 years or so :D

I have a few additions to my last comment:
  • I am on global firmware.
  • SystemUI seems to crash (sometimes) when replying on messages via notification
  • OTA sometimes results in a bootloop, though you only have to reflash gapps and sometimes magisk + enable data on play store again.
  • I used 13.0.5 or 13.0.9 firmware and experienced random reboots but not on 13.0.3
  • Seriously haven't found anything weird other than those things :p

I mean, random reboots on any firmware is pretty serious bug.

I'm in need of orientation, so if anyone could guide me please 😬

I have an x3 pro and I've been looking for the nearest pure android rom to get rid of mui14

My only issue with miui is that in the developers options there isn't any quick mozaic/tile to shut off the phone's sensors (cameras and mic are the ones i want to shut off). Is there any way to shut them off? (only software methods). If not could anyone please recommend me the best rom in order to replace miui? 😬 🙏🏻

I don't recommend the stock rom so much due to the deadboot issue that is occuring in Poco X3 Pro due to high temps even at idle. Xiaomi.eu is not pretty bad but second space feature (Multi-User) is not simple. Arrow OS being AOSP is still a good pick for me.

For me after months of testing the best is CrDroid 9 + NGK Kernel + X3 Pro profiles for NGK kernel, it has battery and gaming profile made specaily for Poco X3 Pro.

Second is xiaomi.eu if you want MIUI but it has problems locking apps in background, system kills some of them, I heard it's a long time bug on MIUI and xiaomi.eu

Third is maybe Evolution X if you want good AOSP with some useful features.

Arrow and Lineage is probably good, never used them because they are too minimal for my taste.

    I only have real experience with crdroid calyxos and evolutionX using root and safetynet fixes on all of them. I also only count customization that can't be solved by changing defaults or installing some app.

    Crdroid has the most customization (long press back to kill as the most important one or me). However it suffers from bad updates and breakages after a dirty flash sometimes. It also simetumes suffers from major battery drain issues.

    Evolution x offers a decent amount here, but not as much as crdroid. It does seem more stable / reliable to update, but I also have used it for less time, so I cannot be sure.

    CalyxOs being microG is interesting but requires microg to work for you and I would definitly not use it without root. Battery drain seems lower on microG, just sadly it did not work for me because scanning qr codes in banking apps is broken right now. Also offers less customization, and you have to add encryption yourself after install.

    Also used elite rom for a bit but to me miui seems rather naggy and annoying so I did not use it for long, actually having a usable recent app switcher is nice though.

    I ran away from xiaomi eu due to google play system update bug (not the whole rom thing), i thought my device is going bricked/deadboot again it restarted itself automatically. Even elite rom seemed to inherit the same problem (saw the miui app patches and there was ingbrzy one of the devs at xiaomi eu)

    I want to report that after conducting extensive tests with my Poco X3 Pro (Vayu), I have finally found the perfect ROM where everything works flawlessly. It has been a month now, and I haven't encountered any errors. I will explain some details below.

    I believe Pixel Experience 12.1 is the perfect ROM for the Poco X3 Pro, primarily because it has shown excellent battery performance. I have been able to go almost 36 hours on a single charge, and only after that time did I need to recharge.

    I tried Pixel Experience 13.1 (Android 13), but it caused my phone to overheat and drain the battery quickly. I couldn't even make it through the evening with a single charge. I didn't like it.

    I found a GCAM that works perfectly with the Poco X3 Pro on Android 12, which is the MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV2b_MGC. This GCAM works flawlessly with the BSGx3P-NFv59.xml configuration. It functions perfectly in the camera, capturing excellent photos with no noise, good stabilization, and unbeatable quality.

    The fact that using Pixel Experience offers unlimited photo storage in the cloud is a great plus.

    Despite Pixel Experience 12.1 being based on Android 12 and not Android 13, I have found that it performs much better in terms of stability, performance, and quality compared to Android 13.

    This post is dedicated to those who are still searching for a stable, fast, efficient, and beautiful ROM. I have finally found it, and I suggest you give it a try. Everything works perfectly. I am very pleased with the performance of my X3 Pro. I have had it since 2021, and with this ROM, I believe it will last me until 2025.

    In summary:
    - Download PixelExperience_vayu-12.1-20221119-0836-OFFICIAL.zip from the official website.
    - Download MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV2b_MGC and BSGx3P-NFv59.xml from the celsoazevedo website.

    I want to clarify that everything expressed in my post is my sincere opinion. I do not intend to discredit anyone's work or efforts; I simply want to share my experience so that others may benefit from the information.
