MTP bug?! i could enable mtp from twrp and copy a 2 gb movie on sd card. The only problem i met is when you cancel your transfer, but solved with disable and enable again! 5141 mb backup done in 325 sec on Sandisk Extreme pro 64 gb U3 formated exfat!

I transferred from pc to phone, not from internal to external sd card. i know what mtp means! The 3.0.2.1 twrp version, when you connect usb cable you will see just "Android ADB interface" in device manager . So it's working but when you hit cancel your transfer, the sd card got ramdom name a shows a full drive. Disable & enable mtp in twrp solves the problem.

I could not check mtp on my computer since when I was compiling the twrp my pc had errors reading mtp in recovery mode.
But other users have confirmed that mtp works.
I'm going to try on my other PC coming home. If mtp works it will update the thread.

I was testing new twrp303 with some ROMs and worked very well but: these lines of some updater-scripts still annoys

If we could bypass this to get a fully "universal" twrp for our devices would be great. Avoiding to edit updater-script would be really appreciated.

Unfortunately, for me it creates a bootloop when i try to access recovery. Sm-j500fn here
edit: i cant access the phone or recovery, only odin mode thank god for that, back to MM stock^^

I'm going to do an update (Keep in mind that by being a Port does not mean that twrp is not the same as one done from a lot of sources) Because the twrp base already built from sources, I use the boot.img J5 use the libraries J5 with the new features TEAM . In my model the twrp 3.1.0-0 is working perfect only mtp not working (Backup,efs,adb etc is working for me) I'll wait for more reports it to try to do to 5.1.1

We (or at least i) dont have any problem with this twrp, its working great for me. I never use mtp so dont know about that.
