Who knows but based on track record when a new flagship is released or a new note is released it always comes with newer software/features and is then rolled out to older devices shortly after. Last year the S20 series got the same update as S21 Series s few weeks later with one UI 3.1

Right, I remember you had factory reset the device a couple times after the update...so was curious if this battery life is after a few cycles are not...btw @adamlee2012 , you had mentioned that you are on 5g most of the time as you live in a good coverage area with no perceptible battery drain...I too live in a good 5g coverage area but the confounded thing just drains battery like there's no tomorrow. The moment I switch to 4g..all's back to normal. I did notice that even though the device is on 5g, it switches to 4g during inactivity (or screen off) and then enables 5g when the screen is back on. So, by having 5g enabled all the time, don't u think it's a battery drain as the device reverts to 4g when not in use...just my thought... maybe some hardware experts can throw some light on this...
No offense but i ran away from thoose you mentioned.... just to mention xiaomi has so bad software that sometimes you cant even record video or ise camera at all...etc...be patient my friend....from all the bad samsung is the one with least problems....
