I tried using this after editing the script a little bit, but kept getting status 6, installation aborted. I want to keep a couple of things. Did i miss a step when putting the script back into the zip? If nothing else, I want the SECvideo player/list. I like how it keeps videos separate and that the thumbnails are animated. I tried pushing secvideoplayer.apk, and secvideolist.apk. No luck. What am I missing? Thanks

I think you modified the zip wrong.

You must extract the updater-zip to PC and edit it with Notepad++. It doesn't work with the normal text editor. After starting Notepad++ you can delete the lines which apps you need and save it. Copy the updated file to the zip file and flash it if you have a clean stock firmware :)

Thanks for the reply mate. I am still running I9505XXUBMH1 ROM so I don't have Knox Warranty line in Download mode. I want to upgrade to 4.3 but I'm a little worried about Knox. Can any of he scripts or zips be flashed by stock Samsung recovery? Or do they have to be flashed through CWM? I really would love to know if I can flash a stock ROM and then remove all the Knox stuff to avoid warranty issues, as I have built new versions of my ROM but can't test them :(

It is a difficult situation  the secure bootloader (XXUBMH5) there are some limitations, but the bootloader on MJ5 and newer there are more limitations than before. You will get more problems with custom Kernel and recovery (warranty bit label at boot). The Samsung stock Kernel is set to Enforcing instead permissive. if you want to update without rooting your phone then flash it :D as alternative you can flash a 4.3 firmware through cwm if you want to keep the old bootloader. As I have written before I will need more information which things affect the knox warranty void :l

I didn't! I never flash stock odin roms. I flashed a MJ5 ROM via CWM zip then the MJ5 modem and non-HOLS binary via mobile odin

So your kernel is still older like MGA or MH1 something like that?

I'm on stock 4.3MJA Ran this script. It did not clear many apps like mentioned in your OP.
I have disabled half of Samsung bull****. Is it because of that ?

If its disabled not sure it will uninstall. Also one thing I am sure of is this. If you allow any of the apps to be updated they dont get removed. If you uninstall all those updates so it says its the original version... then run the script they will be removed. If updated the names differ and the script no longer is correct on all the names. So just uninstall updates reenable disabled apps dpubke check the updates are removed then run script again.

I reset my phone and flashed again. No luck I'm on complete stock 4.3

Samsung back up and other unwanted apps still present.

Not a single app is updated or disabled.
