Hi!
I just did it, but something went definitely wrong.
The installed SuperSU apk complains, that it hasn't su binary installed. However, it's not true. It's there (in /system/xbin), it has proper permissions (setuid set), but it fails to properly execute and returns RC=1.
Maybe it's incompatible with 4.3 ?
Regards, Pavel
Sony hasn't included any "Knox" features have they? (thought that was a Samsung thing)...

Interesting...

I hope not. My BL is unlocked anyway.
However, I need root seriously, so I did some more experiments.
1) I've flashed a different - maybe newer - rooting package, from there: http://www.datafilehost.com/d/d6122b49
2) Immediately after reboting, it worked - I saw my root requiring apps getting the access during boot. Also SuperSU.apk was OK, working as normal.
3) After a short while, I tried to su from the console. It failed again, with the same symptoms (RC=1, the file was there, permissions OK). SuperSU.apk then complained about missing su binary again and the root access was lost for all the applications requiring it.
4) I immediately reflashed the same package again, prepared to monitor, what's happening there and what causes the su binary to malfunction.
However, since then, the root is stable. su binary still works even from the console, root requiring apps including SuperSU.apk are still happy. So, I didn't find the cause of the problem, but it's there and I don't know, when it will hit again.

Out of curiosity, what's the version of chainfire's SuperSU that you installed? ah... I see... 1.51

Try v1.80 Here.
