Installation instructions

For new installations & upgrades, first, make sure you got CM10.2 ROM and the correct Gapps on your External SD Card.

After that, enter CWM and:
  • select "wipe data / factory reset"
  • go to "mounts & storage" and format /system. This is extremely important!
  • under the same menu, format /sdcard0 (be careful NOT to format /sdcard1 by mistake)
  • install CM10.2 (from the external sd)
  • install Gapps for JB+ (from the external sd)
  • reboot your phone
Please, note that every step of this tutorial is mandatory!

Non-touch CWM Recovery 6.0.3.8 (or later) is needed for this ROM to work properly.
If you don't have it already, CWM Recovery 6 can be downloaded from here.

Do NOT restore backup data of system apps!
If you need to restore applications, make sure you only restore 3rd party apps and preferably apks only. No app data. SMS, contacts, calendar entries, pictures, videos should be safe to restore.
If you're installing this ROM after stock ROM (Android 2.3.6), CM9 (Android 4.0.4) or CM10 (Android 4.1.2), I would recommend redownloading the apps rather than restoring them from a backup. They might not be fully compatible and might cause troubles. As a general suggestion, try to keep your ROM as clean as possible.

Great work man! What are the diffrences between Alpha 1 and the test build you sent me 2 weeks ago, besides the .1 update?

Oh by the way, you got one space to much in the title of the thread, it hurts my OCD :p

---------- Post added at 06:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:10 PM ----------

Thanks Radu,
How about performance, it's same like 4.2 roms or like another 4.3 rom.
I found out another 4.3 rom is slightly slower.
Will try it asap
The performance for me is the same as on 4.2.2.

Any one tried?

Thank you man! I would recommend you an upgrade (pristine install). There are many differences. :)

Do we flash over arco's CM 10.1, android 4.2.2, beta 1? (like as updating CM10.1 version from alpha 8 to alpha 9)
Or do we have to make a clean installation?
I mean factory reset, wipe data, and others that erases everything...

And so and so much thanks for your work... You are great guys :D
