But swap doesnt work for cm12 and again: I need swap!
I get it that you want swipe. I have no idea whether CM12 actually supports it or not but I'm 99% sure CM12 supports dt2w, which is almost the same thing.

All I'm saying is that your only 2 realistic options are:
1. stay on stock KitKat and enjoy s2w
or
2. settle with dt2w on CM12 and get tons of cool CM-features and Android L, which is as good as your M4 will get.

CM11 is not an option because you will get *a lot* of problems with practically every function of your phone. It never worked, and it never will.

It's called making a compromise (-: So decide for yourself what is more important to you: s2w or new Android with dt2w.

Ok, sorry, it seems like, i am to silly for you.

What i mean is Linux swap, expanding the ram to an swapfile or partition, i know it is silly cause the phone has no sd card slot but swapping to a swapfile at internal storage works also pretty well.

Why do i need this?
Easily because 780mb ram is not enough for me.

So, now any ideas?

Excuse me mate, I didn't read carefully and I TOTALLY misunderstood you! Haha I was already thinking: how on earth can 1 small feature be that important to someone?

Now I get what you're saying, and memory swap seems like a totally legitimate reason for a device with so ridiculously little RAM. Until today, I didn't even know it was actually possible on M4, so I'm afraid I can't be of any use to you )-:

My M4 died a year ago and I purchased OP2.

You could try asking in CM12 thread whether there is any possibility to achieve that. Make sure you @ mention all devs/contributors of the ROM listed in that thread and maybe some of the more active users, 'cause you may have noticed the whole M4 forum is dead...

I freaking loved that phone apart from low mem...

Yes, I noticed.
I have already asked in the thread but still no answers, maybe because my first post wasn't really nice...

I will try asking the devs, thank you :)

I have one more question.
In CPU-Z or any other app that shows phone specs, it shows only 780mb of ram, not 1gb.
Is this just my phone or does the phone really have only 780mb of ram?
I tested with many different roms but it is all the same.

I couldnt even find something in the Internet
Do you know anything about that?

Hello, you can check it on every mobile phone, that there is
always shown less memory as it is said.

And why is this?
You can imagine like you have a computer with onboard graphics
card which uses shared memory.

Now you know where the rest of the ram is being used for. ;)

Best regards.

Is this device still alive?

Hey everyone just checking in if this thread is dead now. I have found a version of this ROM cm-11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-m4.zip and this is a SNAPSHOT so that means its bugless right? Anywho I have flashed it onto the (m4) and it seems like its working pretty much perfectly. Everything seems to work as in the Audio, Camera etc. only 1 bug I encountered which is when you browse the Google Play Store it kinda crashes time to time but overall still great ROM. One more bug is when you Restart the device and systemui stops responding but just give it time and it restarts itself and starts working also. :)

Well all I've done is just unlock my bootloader. Then flashed latest twrp, wiped, flashed rom + gapps. Literally thats all I did. S-On or S-Off not rly familiar with those things since I didnt do that :/
