Can't find a thread for CM10.2 /// 4.3.1 so I'll post this here.


I used the Play store installer to get Cyanogen 10.2 onto my Sprint Samsung S4. Everything works great except the Internet is very spotty and doesn't work most of the time. Worked great before I rooted it. I had 4.3 on it before I rooted it. Play store won't download, Facebook works 5% of the time. Ideas? Thanks!

I haven't tried Cyanogenmod at all on my GS4, yet. I'm really excited though since there is work being done, shouldn't be long now.

Before you flashed CM10.2 did you verify and make sure that everything was working? Did you update PRL and Profile before the flash? If not, you may need to flash back to stock, or a TW based rom, update PRL and Profile, verify it is all working, and then reflash CM10.2

The other thing that it may be is Google Play Services updating in the background. If you can load web pages, then your internet is working. When you go to the play store, if it loads the Play home page then your data is working fine. What you need to do is give it a while, let it sit there and do its invisible update in the background - it happens on almost every rom when you flash a version that doesn't have the newest, shiniest Play Services included. You can tell this is the issue because you can load apps and even select install but you'll just get a downloading bar with no progression. If this is the case, press stop on all the updates and apps you are trying to install and check back in an hour or so.

No idea with facebook. Force closing behavior or just no data?

Over wireless for both issues or Wi-Fi?

Yep it was working great beforehand. I HAVE noticed webpages will load when FB doesn't. Did it again today. BOTH Wifi and Internet issues, sometimes even at home it will hiccup. It's been 2 days you'd think it would have updated by now..... Play store won't load at all either when it's having connection issues and sometimes even webpages won't load but webpages are the last to go. Email seems to work most of the time.

I've had my phone for months unrooted, it's not new. I had 4.3 for a couple of days working great before I rooted.

No 3G

I'm having a problem I haven't seen anyone mention. When I flash this ROM (and any other 4.4 ROM) I don't get 3G. Everything else seems to be working. I fully wiped 3 times and tried with both TWRP and Philz. I'm on MF9 modem and flashing from stock MF9 ROM. Am I missing a step somewhere? Do I need to be on MJA?

Have you tried your network settings? I get lte and 3g and everything is working for me.

I nandroid restored my backup to when 3G worked (Stock MF9). I can't find my APN's anywhere. Where are they located? and what's the best way to bring them over to the new rom?
