Has anyone else had the problem of losing google play service & playstore when doing a dirty flash and not being able to get them back. They are in the /system/priv-app folder but wont install. Only solution i have found is to do a clean flash each time

Cheers
no problems here, playstore works fine. Everytime I do my updates as a dirty flash.

It's working fantastic! MUCH better than the official CM 12.1 snapshot I'm running on my TF300 (OMG, it's painful...). Google Photos is working fine too now, don't know if you changed something or Google did (or the gremlin left). Thank you very much!

Have you tried this ROM of timduru on your TF300?
KATKISS: http://forum.xda-developers.com/transformer-tf300t/development/rom-t2932783.
I'm running the tf101 version and it's working great.

It seems the hardware backed keystore is not working correctly.. (Settings -> Security shows "hardware backed")

Some symptoms I got:
Couldn't sign-in Adobe Cloud from Adobe Reader, it always stuck with the signing in screen.
Enable the lock screen with PIN or password, the Settings app stuck.

After I renamed "/system/lib/hw/keystore.tegra.so" file from the device and reboot, Adobe Cloud works.
Code:
adb root
adb remount
adb shell "mv /system/lib/hw/keystore.tegra.so /system/lib/hw/keystore.tegra.so_"
adb reboot
The above commands deactivated hardware backed keystore, and it will fallback to software based.

Does anyone have similar issues? Am I missed something, I've dirty upgraded with CM11 -> CM12 -> CM12.1.

Hooray!

Edited: Got trouble loading the ROM.
detect filesystem ext4 for /dev/block/platform...
can't install this package on top of incompatible data. Please try another package or run a fact...

I figured out the incompatible data issues by searching on Google. I had to wipe/format the system and data first. Factory/hard reset is not enough. So, I put the ROM in SD card and use TWRP to flash this ROM since all data was gone.

By the way, for unlocking the device using Asus's device unlock tool, I had to remove my Google account, because I couldn't sign in. Some people on TF700 forum said that is due to Google changed the API and Asus didn't update its tool.

I was curious to the reason why the min and max kernel frequency are both set at 1912500, shouldn't the min setting be much lower?

when you touch the screen it ramps up (the powerHAL takes over). when you let go it decreases back down. look at the reporting when you are not touching the screen and it should show properly.

Installation over Zombi-pop?

when you touch the screen it ramps up (the powerHAL takes over). when you let go it decreases back down. look at the reporting when you are not touching the screen and it should show properly.
I am considering installing CM12.1 over Zombi and I have a simple question.

The steps for installation are listed here:

Installation Instructions:
-boot in to bootloader (power and vol +/-)
-fastboot boot recovery.img (you can fastboot flash recovery recovery.img for permanence); wait a few seconds for the recovery screen.
-adb shell mount /data
-adb push cm-12.1-YYYYMMDD-UNOFFICIAL-tf701t.zip /data/media/
-take a nandroid backup (CWM only)
-flash cm-12.1-YYYYMMDD-UNOFFICIAL-tf701t.zip
-transfer and flash gapps for Android 5.1: http://download.dirtyunicorns.com/files/gapps/banks_gapps/5.x.x/ (latest for 5.1.x is 10-20-15)
-it is best to wipe when coming from stock (Note: You can upgrade from CM12)
-reboot

My understanding of the process is limited, so I need to know if these steps will work for my current 701 setup on Zombi or do I need to follow something else?

I can't see a reason why you couldn't just download this rom and gapps onto your device and flash it from recovery, instead of pushing it with adb
