I can't see a reason why you couldn't just download this rom and gapps onto your device and flash it from recovery, instead of pushing it with adb

Tried that and had an error message of System Failure repeatedly until I finally got it to power down. I then tried to recovery to stock. Failed. I am trying to re-install Zombi now to see if I can get that limping along.

I have been on a different ROM for a year and decided, why not, its Christmas week and I do not have anything to do. So I installed this one and so far I am very impressed!! Thank you so much.

I was going to donate, but Pershoot does not have a donate link

Sorry if I missed something I tried searching and couldn't find.
I just unlocked and rooted my device. Installed TWRP and flashed latest CyanogenMod 12.1 and gapps BaNkS-Dynamic-GApps-5.x.x-10-20-15
All seems ok except all I get from google is a browser and google play.
Is this normal? I guess it was meant to keep it clean and download everything I need myself. Is this right or should I have had more google stuff. Google play settings says I am using 6.0.5.
Also before I continue with a full setup and re-install everything is Marshmallow something coming real soon like days or further down the line. Don't feel like re-configuring and version 6 comes out real soon.
BTW love this rom so far

homescreen dock

changed my lcd density to 360dpi to use more of my screen and has more detail. Problem is that my homescreen dock is now vertical and can't get back to the bottom when in landscape mode. Can't find a setting for this

i must say.. battery is completely insane while idle.

unplugged dec. 17th, battery full, kept idle and today was at ~25% when plugged in.

Much better now when in deep sleep. Using for a couple hours surfing the net uses quite a bit battery and gets a bit warm still. But voice recognition is a little better... :good: Playing a game burns the battery quick and the back gets very hot... Testing 1/14 release...

What is the best latest supersu version to use(2.52-2.66)? And what is the correct working version of Xposed for cm 12.1? Official v79 sdk22 arm http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3580244&d=1450386592? Does it matter that we keep up with the very latest CWM recovery? I'm using one from around February 15...

Why do we have to flash recovery?
being on the Lastest is CWM is not enough?
Or is it something to do with going Cyanogenmod 12.1?

Also as above.. are we to flash Superuser as well?

I want to give it a go while I am playing around with this tablet.. Bliss is running fine..
But getting a bit of screen tearing and also got a feeling its not using the cores as it could.. god I wish I could do kernel work.. would love to rip out the best of Tims work and place it here..

Edits: booting now..all.good.
Answered my own questions.. Jump in boots and all and flash away.
Just loading all apps back in now.. Feels nice and smooth..
Loaded in latest .. Great job..

I flashed 'open_gapps-arm-5.1-mini-20160115'
Went fine for me

I don't know if you need it but I also flashed the superuser app out of Tims thread on either the tf700 or tf300 links..
Gave me the root I wanted..

I used cyano gapps but opengapps arm should also work

Just flashed cm-12.1-20160124-UNOFFICIAL-tf701t.zip and then couldn't get play store working again. I've tried banks and various version of open gapps (arm 5.1 nano, micro, mini) and none of them worked.

Dirty Flash?
Sometimes I need to Clear the Cache and Data of the "Google Play Store" and "Google Play Services". Try just the cache first followed by a reboot. If that doesn't work, try Cache and Data.

Yeah, dirty flash.
But, I tried to wipe the system and data partition. Now, TWRP can't mount /system anymore

This is a known problem. Reformat /system (type ext4). Flash ROM and Gapps.

I played with TWRP when it was first released. It seemed to generate many errors when wiping or reformatting. Too scary. CWM seemed mostly ok, but seemed to have occasional problems with a dirty flash. I ended up back on Cyanogen Recovery since that's what Pershoot seems to be using (it's a bit of a pain not being able to flash from ext-sd, but not that a big deal to copy the image to internal (sdcard).

I try to encrypt the device but as soon as i hit the encrypt button the device reboots and the display stays black for some time.
Then the device reboots to android, optimizes the apps and if i check the settings the device is still not encrypted.

Do you have any hint how to enable encryption? (TWRP installed)
