Hows the latest build going.. I think I am maybe a few behind now..

Only problem I see so far is that it is holding to many apps in cache so when it is put to sleep feeling a little sluggish to fire up..

Fix is to hit resents kill all apps on wake up..frees up and does its thing..

Shame we don't have a kernel guru playing around for us.. I am sure we re missing out on a bit of the benefits that could be unlocked..

My understanding the Asus has not released kernel code for the community to play with?

Is there another device with same specs?

I would give up batt time for a little more ability to crank this device up a little.. It's got the CPU..and we know lower grade memory that gives us pain..but overall..not a bad device

kernel is fine. its mostly up to date in terms of main line. perhaps some light massaging can be done.

OC is not going to get you much. bringing that in would require implementing less restriction of thermal limits so it doesn't throttle, and I don't feel the benefits would outweigh the cons in day to day use.

i'll see what i can do to sort out that issue you are having.

I still see Wifi turning off during standby although it is set to remain always on. This often breaks huge downloads in Navigator or CM Updates when I do not keep the device active. Is there any chance to fix this?

I'll see what I can do with regards to this (this is an outstanding issue). It doesn't happen with all router/router FW.

Please flash the latest daily build (get.cm), try to reproduce this issue and then please provide the parameters within which I can reproduce it over here.

Thx.

Yes, on weekly basis. Might be placebo but feels a lot smoother.
Also starting from Feb build - Wi-Fi never turns off when sleeping whatever option is checked.

Sucker for punishment, grabbed another one of these for with keyboard this week.
will set it up for one of the family.. just flashed latest nightly.. 28-03.. all good..
If someone stumbles on this thread.. this is what I have done..
1: take tablet back to stock
2: Boot with no G-account, load up unlock, unlock it
3: Download kingoRoot, root it..
4: add in Google account, add in [ROOT] Rashr - Flash Tool
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=flashify&c=apps&hl=en
5: flash CMW image.. boot in to it.. (make sure you have downloaded lastest nightly Rom)
6: flash Rom..
Profit..
Quick and easy..
thanks Pershoot for your work..
Doing a great job of keeping this piece of equipment usable..

For my serranoltexx there has just been a kernel config change, setting "CONFIG_HZ_300=y"
http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/140313/

It has made the UI amazingly fluent in comparison to before.

Could this be helpful for the TF701T as well? I have seen that the HZ value seems to be set to 1000 at the moment. 300 Hz would match better to a 60Hz frame rate but I don't know which value has been used in serranoltexx when nothing had been specified.

Maybe it's the wrong thread so sorry. I've had a tf701 and now I'm using a Remix Ultra Tablet with allmost same specs. How complicated would it to create a cyanogenmod for this device?
