I still have some screen flickerings although less frequently than before. Those happen when reading my newspaper, a quite heavy, pictures loaded app. Otherwise everything runs smooth and fast:)
send me kernel log please.

ill perform a few reversions from where it is emanating from and post another update.

actually lets start by testing before i roll a full update, now that you can reliably reproduce it.
boot or flash this (fastboot):
droidbasement.com/asus/tf701t/cm/12.1/test/boot.img

Now launch that app, and try to reproduce it. Post logs if you can reproduce it. If you can't anymore, then report back here.

I'm on vacation until the end of the month, away from my pc. I'm writing this on my wife's laptop.
It would be easier for me to send a kernel log (if you tell me how) tomorrow morning after reading my paper...if the flickering persists:)

please try to get back to me as soon as you can on that test boot.img that was posted. if it still flickers, i'll upload another test which 'should' sort it and bring it back to normalcy with regards to that (2 releases ago).

Hi all. How do things look on 09/02, so far?
For me there was not much difference...
I also have installed the boot.img. That helped a bit, :)

While typing this message ihad lags on key input! I hope you can see anything in the logs! (please tel me if the logs are ok, created with sys log app... No pc available currently)

Scrolling screens seems to be unaffected. Ub reader is a bit faster.

I have seen a commit for bacon not sure if this can be helpful but... http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/108146/

Cheers

It has been CFQ this whole time (since this device has been brought online in early 2014). I only just this week switched to FIOPS for testing.

that test boot.img would not have helped matters with regards to the input lag you seem to observe. that test is for the flicker issue (which was reported) which emanates from the EMC work i am trying to bring in.

Pershoot, I attached a log that, I hope, could help solve the "light" flickering effect

edit: I managed to flash your boot.img using Flashify and I think the flickering is gone:) . At least, I try to reproduce it and could not succeed.

Is anyone able to copy apps to sd? Whenever I try it tells me I don't have room but I have 30gb on this external sd. I also see a lot of USB mounts but don't know if that interferes. Is it not possible to run apps from the external?

Sometimes its a good idea to completely format your internal drive and install your ROM fresh, not a nandroid backup.

Flickering seems to be gone...

pershoot, I installed update last night and when reading my newspaper this morning, I did not have any flckering. Looks like all is back to normal on that front.:good:
One more thing, the tab seems faster and brighter. Might be only an impression but I like it.
Thanks for the good work
