Hello Community,

last weekend I tried to install Cyanogenmod 9.1 on a HTC Sensation XE and I think I caused something like a soft-brick. Everytime I want to boot, Cyanogenmod gets stuck in the Boot animation. Unfortunately I installed the ROM without doing the S-Off. Maybe that's the reason for it. All tutorials I found for doing this need a running operating system, but I don't have one because cyanogenmod is stuck in the Boot animation. On top of that, I'm not entirely sure the root was succesfull. I installed Super User, but how can I check, whether the root was succesfull?

However, I don't know what to do next. I think I have to install any stock rom, which runs on the HTC Sensation XE and doesn't need the S-Off. Please give me some advice.

The device is unlocked and the CWM recovery version is 5.0.2.0

you need to flash the boot.img of the rom via fastboot command
the command is fastboot flash boot boot.img

or you can change your recovery to 4ext
it has a feature which is called smartflash
enable smartflash exactly before flashing the rom
