I'm on the original S3 and flashed the new Philz. It's working fine for me. I flashed a backup of Tribute made on the older Philz with it and then restored a S5 Xperience backup made with the new Philz. Everything worked great. New version works for some and not others. Funny how phones are finicky like that but they are.

EDIT:

Scratch the no issues. I flashed the newest build of LS and when I tried to restore the backup the S5 Xperience I made with the newest PhilZ mentioned, it didn't restore hardly any of the apps. It didn't even install Play. The restored ROM was buggy too.

Back to the last version of Philz I went. Thankfully it installed the older backup of S5 I had made with the older version.

It figures......... . LOL! I make a post after I had tested it saying it was working fine and then... BAM!!! Something goes wrong. Heh.

Are there any known problems with using 6.48.4 for Lollypop Roms? Do we really need to use 6.57.5? Does anyone have a TWRP version zip file that can be flashed from recovery and is worth a darn on Lollypop? Not really wanting to use Odin since my port is iffy. Should be able to flash back to a Philz zip too.

Just asking...

6.48.4 you may experience issues restoring backups on lollipop. Some people had data issues, I had issues with the WiFi breaking on restores. I've searched all over for a TWRP but couldn't find one

You don't have to flash zips of recoveries. Just get the app flashify. Then you can install recovery.IMG files without even a reboot. The only version of Twrp that I have seen that can actually mount external SD is pretty old so I wouldn't try to flash lollipop Roms with it. I've never had a problem with philz 6.48.4 or 6.57.5 flashing KitKat or lollipop.

It's called Time Daemon or something. For some reason when I use it though it screwed up the clock when booted, so if you experience that you know the cause.

My ROMs: Wicked X & Wicked S5 Xperience
After you enable time deamon you need to set the proper time zone. Worked for me when I had the same problem of the time defaulting to 1980 or some sick weird date when booting to recovery.

Probly a dumb question but do you enable time deamon in recovery?

Flash the above in recovery and then do a "reboot recovery" to get into Philz Touch!
