LP is indeed very smooth, stable and fast - but there are 2 major advantages that MM will bring:

- app permissions
- external storage merged with internal storage

I just don't get it why it takes so long to bring out an updated stock ROM.

Just because Sony will make sure it is stable and without bugs.

I have had just now Samsung Galaxy A5 as temporary device while my Z3 was in service. And I am very happy to have my Z3 back. Sony have indeed some bloatware and own UI, but it is very decent and responsive. Nothing, compared to TouchWiz.

As for app permissions and external+internal sd: People long lived without these features until now, so there is nowhere to hurry. More over, there are apps that are not optimized for MM and they tempt to behave strangely on combined storage. And I am really looking forward to see all these complains after disabling some permission renders app unusable or buggy.

As always in these types of threads, we get bombastic statements about sonyfail and Sony are rubbish etc etc. Why do people ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE the latest os yesterday?
The sense of entitlement is outstanding in some people. Sony absolutely will not care if three or four people flounce off and "go to HTC" because they couldn't have MM faster than Samsung or Htc.
Buy a nexus instead and beta test the latest updates for us all..
Stop the whinging and leave the thread for real updates or info about the software that we actually have.[/QUOTE

Do you think Nokia, Palm, did lost their customers, all in one day? NO
A business is getting out of business bit by bit. Hopefully Mr Hirai does not think like you. For Sony's sake!
Cheers

Anyone got a new update. version 3536?
Release notes say:
"MMB29M.Z1.3536
Google February Security updates"
--[UPDATE]--
Just installed, Android security patch level is at Feb 1, 2016. Could there be any under the hood changes?

That's a Concept update, not related to this one ;)

To answer your question, it's in the pipeline, only security patch mentioned in changelog.
