I'll try it, but I don't really see how the charging optimization has anything to do with the battery discharging...

Your phone won't charge all the way up to 100%, so by disable it could give some extra juice. So try it first. Than run SD maid cleaner, also wipe dalvik cache & cache. Look for apps which use your position system. Update your apps... Let me know if it helps

Alright, I'll try it out. No need for a cleaner of any type, I'm running a tight ship here the same goes for GPS, only a few apps have GPS and location permissions.

I'll report back in a couple of days.

Don't have it.
I do recommend getting (if you did not try it already I mean) the latest Concept .3657 since it's the latest (October 2016 kernel) and last ever Sony ROM for Z3, as it's really stable and I find battery live to be better than MM .575/291 anyway, not as LL but ok.
