Hi all,

App works great apart from one station "Smooth NW" sounds like a 45 rpm single being played at 33rpm.

Is this a broadcast issue ? All other stations sound OK so I'm just after confirmation.

OK so after doing a sation rescan/update issues seems to be resolved.

Had my first DAB-Z sudden crash the other day. Never happened before (or since), so though I should capture & post log capture. It's running on a Joying Intel Sofia, and otherwise reliable & just works.

Cannot remember what time the app crashed, but just re-started it and all was ok. Did not reboot the head unit.

@pwood999 This was not a crash of DAB-Z. Google Play has enforce that DAB-Z got killed. Not sure 100% why it did so though.
I noticed this myself already several times. And it happens to other apps also on my devices.

Ok thanks for the update. It's not a concern really & has been stable since so all good.

It also used in wife's car on a new Joying Android 10 UIS7862 and working really well.

If anyone is interested I have put together a station icon pack for South Australia Adelaide region currently 50 stations. They are 320x240 PNG images, 1set with black background and 1set with white background.

Basically it is the high bitrate of 136 and 144 kbps that made my code stumble upon. Such high quality audio is very seldom.

Can you tell me how to put the omri on dab z please? I looked through settings can’t seem to find? Thanx

OMRI is no longer an option. It is now the default and hence you will not find an option in Settings anymore.

Hi, I have USB DAB+ dongle linked to my Avin (Android head unit) in my BMW 7 Series.
It had been working perfectly up until the latest upgrade on DAB-Z app. Now when I listed to LBC (London, UK) every few minutes the App auto mutes or drops this station despite signal remaining at strengh with all green bars lit.

I would really appreciate any comments or help as I really like this app.

@davidwatson007DAB Can you can you create a raw recording for LBC? See post #1 on how to do so.

@Pepe0224 Is the crash happening with every station, or only some specific one? After such a crash, you should see a dialog after you start DAB-Z, which says that DAB-Z crashed and if you want to open its Settings. Please do so and in Settings->Info press the "logcat..." button at the very bottom and send me the generated zip file to my email address.

Go to Android settings, app disk space, find DAB-Z, delete cache and data. This will remove all user settings for DAB-Z, and possibly all audio files recorded by DAB-Z (unless @realzoulou has fixed that bug).

Yes, that's how I've always done it so far, but of course that's not a nice option. But if you say that is a known bug, then I like to wait for the hotfix.

First question, what kind of antenna do you have, one that sticks on the windshield or an antenna on the roof?
Second question is, where is the DAB+ receiver placed, in the glove compartment or near a fusebox?
An external antenna is the best and place the DAB+ receiver far away from the radio and fuse boxes.
I had the same problem like you now experiences.
I placed the DAB+ receiver in the trunk and use a external antenna and have now stable reception, even from stations who were hard to receive, with the lights on or off.

All user files are deleted when uninstall DAB-Z. I have not tested this in later versions.
