Yes, you right . But you can find out very cheap unlock code here : http://www.wotanserver.com/enHi
Am I right in saying that rooting a device wont unlock the device to any network?
Sorry for such a noob question, and I apologise that this post isnt strictly in the right thread, but its about one of these devices. Im ok with rooting devices etc but network locked devices are a bit new to me. I know its possible through paid sites but we're hoping to avoid paying £20 to unlock the network. I think i've been lucky in that all android devices I've rooted havnt been locked to a specific network, or it didnt matter if it wasnt.
I ask because a family member is planning on buying an Xperia Mini Pro locked to O2 UK and wishing to use it on another network, and eventually in New Zealand and its £50-£100 cheaper from O2 compared to other places.
Any help/clarification would be great. Thanks!

No nid unlock bldo i have to unlock bootloader to cwm or can i have it on there.just so i can back up my orginal rom not for flashing.
..well, after upgrading live with walkman latest firmware (4.0.2.A.0.58) the SU file is gone. Its mean you don't have super user access anymore. there is the way to root your wt19i using easy rooting toolkit V2. It works on latest firmware.
I'm not sure if root will work on top of the latest update, but if you update after rooting, you'll always lose root. At least this has been true with any phone I've had in the past, regardless of brand.I dont know does you root app covers last update
