I've been running it for months. As for apps getting killed yes it's been covered by few people but I fixed mine differently then them by doing some changes in rom which is more confusing to explain but most of the other people just disable smart manager

sent from my Verizon note 3 running 6.0.1 TouchWiz
hi. is it ok to use it? is it really reliable? thank you for your attention

Hello everyone, currently running APEK with the VZW 1.9 kernel. I have everything working, but my big issue is my phone is getting a abnormally warm.I have been Web browsing on this xda post for 5 minutes and my CPU temp is up to 55-60°. Anyone have this issue, or recommend a different version or the kernel?

Can you send me the link for the vzw 1.9 kernel I haven't been able to find it. I would greatly appreciate this. Thanks

hello,
Sorry for the long post but Thank you for this Rom it is the best...:good::cyclops::good:
SM-N900vvzw (Verizon Note 3)
I have been reading over this thread for a week or so now and every time I flashed this rom it looked good but I couldn't get sms or mms working. Well I was messing around with my back-up files and accidently deleted my TWRP back-ups by wiping my internal memory along with the other partitions... (face palm). But luckily I still had my external sd so I re-flashed again for like the 50th time. but this time instead of choosing the International model I choose the Sprint model. then used XAS as my CSC. Then used the galaxy tools to change my csc after boot to (all lowercase) vzw. Then replaced my apns-config.xml, coustomer.xml, and SW_Configuration.xml that I backed up to my external-sd card from stock 5.0 in their respected locations inside the system folder. rebooted then reset my apn's in my mobile network settings then edited the most complete one to look like:
carrier="Verizon"
mcc="310"
mnc="004"
apn="internet"
type="default,mms,dun"
mmsc=the http address shown previously in this thread I'm a new member so I cant post it.
protocol="IPV4V6"
.
.
WALA I had sms, mms, phone, and mobile data and everything worked as stock... except the themes lol It gives an error when I go to the theme store. I disabled the briefing home screen to improve my battery. It is running smooth, fast, and I am getting a better battery life than stock, jasmine, CM13 all 3. Some of the camera modes do not work but I can live with that, I think I read that they were controlled by a 64 bit function so I'm good. I am testing the 2.0 kernel and pek and the ALL Fix zip that I got from the original fourm. just trying to see if I can get the theme store to work. I will post again to update my results.

I can't remember if I changed anything but the theme store works just fine on the wife's note 3. She likes it so much she doesn't care about the camera flaws.

I figured it out... I had changed my model number to sm-n900v in my build prop and that is what was hanging the theme store up. I changed it back with a restart and, wam I have the theme store working... the 2.0 kernel seems to work OK but the version pek is a no go at the min. Sms and Mms aper analysis do not work in pek.

Are you getting any kind of error when you send sms or mms? I just gave up on this and went back to Jasmine Rom. I just might have to give it another go. Thanks

no its all working as a stock or factory rom. with the exception of the camera modes that are 64 bit. even 4g data :)...
1. Back up your "SW_Configuration.xml, coustomer.xml, ad apns-conf.xml" from stock or factory rom
2. If you are on Verizon just install as the Sprint model with "XAS" as the csc...
3. after it boots then use "Galaxy Tools" to change the "mps_code, and sales_code" to (all lowercase) "vzw...
4. copy your backed up "SW_Configuration.xml, coustomer.xml, ad apns-conf.xml" to their respected locations...
(IE. SW_Configuration = /system/ ... coustomer.xml = /system/csc/ ... and apns-conf.xml /system/etc/ ...)
5. Edit the .0.1 build.prop as covered previously in this thread.
6. Copy that build.prop to /system/
7. reboot
8. go to settings, mobile networks, Access point names, and click "more" (top right) and choose "reset to default"
9. reboot
10. go back to your 'settings, mobile networks, access point names" and choose the "Verizon Internet / vzwinternet and add the mmsc (I cant post it I'm still a new member. Change the "multimedia message port" from blank to 80, and add "mms" to the "APN type".
11. Save the apn by touching the "more" top right and choosing "save"
12. choose that apn (should show a dot to the left of it.
13. reboot
14. DONE
15. Enjoy :good::D:good:

I am really enjoying this rom with the edge panels, themes, and the stability I'm getting.
I am using the 2.0 Kernel and didn't flash any fixes as of yet (haven't seen any issues to need the fixes)
my next egenda is to install xposed framework on it lol

BTW if you are having poor battery life like I was just disable the "BREFING"... I also disabled the "DOZE" feature and I'm getting good battery life now.

Man I love this ROM :good:

the only thing I did differently was the way I edited my build.prop... In my 5.0 back-up the stuff that was mentioned to change was in a different area so I removed it from the 6.0.1 build.prop then just copied it over from the 5.0 build.prop like it was in my 5.0 one... ie... instead of being after the "ADDITIONAL_BUILD_PROPERTIES" it is after the "hwui properties" and in the following format as it was in my 5.0 build.prop...

#disable dsp gapless mode by default
audio.offload.gapless.enabled=false

# Restore delay of the default network - 30 mins (VZW)
android.telephony.apn-restore=1800000

then everywhere I saw "hero2lte" I replaced it with "hltevzw"

I hope this helps...

ps... Man I love this ROM lol

hi. please, where did you get this 2.0 kernel? second, now that my device is labeled developer, and I'm not verizon client, do I have to do all the editions you had done in those files? thank you

The 2.0 kernel I got from the original thread. As far as editing your files, that depends on the sim card you have inserted into the phone. When you unlock your bootloader it makes your phone labeled as a "developer". IF you have a Verizon sin card in your phone you are in fact still a Verizon client...

as I said before I am not able to link anything yet, I am still marked as a new member lol

Installing 2.0 vzw kernel doesn't seem as smooth..anybody else notice that or should I try 1.9? Or try the 2.0 sprint version instead..just the scrolling part of it isn't as smooth since I changed kernel.

I don't remember or see where I posted about XPosed so here is the skinny...

Install the 3.0 alpha4 apk then reboot into your recovery and flash the framework version 81.0 (custom build by wanam / 20160411)...
that's what I have installed and its working great...

Next on the agenda is looking into why the phone fc's sometimes after a call or sometimes when the party on the other end of a call hangs up first.
If anyone has a back up of their stock Verizon 5.0 rom still could they shoot me a copy of their "telephony-common.jar" so I could compare a stock vs 6.0.1.
that file is located in /system/framework/ would have to use a root browser to copy it over, it would be greatly appreciated lol :)
