People who have a backup camera. Does the backup camera app allow you to switch between cameras or camera angles?

I want a regular camera view and a top down view. I think I might buy 2 backup cameras and position them to both views. But will I be able to switch between them?

Not that I know of as Backup Camera only works when you put in reverse and HU get +12V on Reverse Wire where it loads app and show you reverse video input. It is possible to get that by using system similar to this one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32966363156.html or here https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-360-car-camera.html?switch_new_app=y

Hi guys!
After a year with my current system i'd like to update it, but i have several question before, and hope somebody can help me :)
1. I'd like to update MCU from 2.83 to 3.30. What is the way to do it? I downloaded the rar file from the first post, but what is the procedure?
2. If i'd like to update to Android 9 - can i just insert the usb with the file PX5 HA_px5_9.0_ota(20190731) (I'm updating the device with model number HA5330-V840-8)
3. Should i install update Blue UI HA_px5_8.0_ota(20190428) before updateing to Android 9?

After all these updates will the contact be synced directly to the HU?

Thank you guys for the help

Re MCU: Format SDCard or USB to FAT32 (I have one 4GB SDCard and 2GB USB for these kind of upgrades) and extract DMCU.IMG from 3.30 archive to Root folder of SDCard/USB and connect to Unit, it should be recognized and you should get updated MCU.

After that read my post till step 5 and you should be safe. I recommend up to 8GB SDcard. Also as said many times before MAKE Sure that you can easily trigger Go To recovery on your device.

WARNING: First make sure that your device is compatible with firmware.

Is the v3.30 firmware only for specific SoM's?

I have PX3 and all updates until the 2, 3.20 and latest 3.30 have not worked, they fail and recovery reboots before error can be noted.

I would appreciate a real response from @hotaudio and not guesses from others. Since we know nothing about the firmware due to no spec/changelog

Hi!
Thank you for the reply! I successfully updated the MCU, but couldn't update the firmware. Any version i tried wasn't recognized. I think that the problem is that i'm doing it from usb stick and from recovery. I don't have an accessible slot for SDcard.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Can you please share bit more about your device? From what I read there is a way (Paid) to Insert custom recovery with simply installing APK. Hal9k Worked a beautiful app http://hal9k.ru/?page_id=207 but if your HU is using one of those compatible units and you do not want bother with whole SDBoot, I never wanted to pay 10$ for app that I will use once or twice so I shared non paying version of process.

You should be OK, Check if your device have SDCard Reader on the side or back of The unit like reported by some users, if no, then going Hal9k is easiest approach I think.

Your main problem is that you can't boot into recovery rom of Android 9 to flash HA OEM Firmware from https://yadi.sk/d/umCvHqCDzHccr/RockChip PX5 Android 9/HA.

If you want to install Malaysk then just download https://xdaforums.com/and...droid-t3762724 3.5 Package to upgrade to 8.0 Malaysk (Archive already have RecoveryInstaller.apk to go into recovery) Also I have found that 9.0 is still unstable and went back to Malaysk 8.0 v3.5.1

I read a little bit more and now i see that the problem is the recovery app installed, and the way to upgrade it to 9.0
Is the Malaysk 8.0 much better than stock?
What issues did you have with Android 9.0?

For me it is, better sound quality (Viper sound driver), better ui organization and apps are customized, different launcher options, ...
Re 9.0: nothing special just stability issues and I am not yet ready to pay 20$ for Full Malaysk 9.0 ROM even I think it is worth the money.

@hotaudio, I installed mcu version 3.30 sometime ago and my Dasaita Max6 head unit's metal case was noticeably warmer than usual so I decided to go back to version 3.14 and the metal case temperature has dropped down. I don't know what changes were done to version 3.30 but my head unit was experiencing high temperatures with it.

Sounds like a correlation, the MCU won't have any impact on unit temp at all.
