Mine does - a very slight buzzing whirling noise...have to have ear less than a foot away to hear it. Not sure if it's normal, but my Op2 adapter made pretty much the same noise.

In my personal experience I have noticed an extremely high pitched noise from pretty much every mobile phone charging brick I have ever used. Nothing to worry about.

Mine has always been 100% silent, but if you're getting some kind of noise out of it, try plugging it into the power strip, or plug it in at a different location and see if it stops. It might be that the power coming into your house is "dirty". I used to build pro audio studios, and we always had to use power conditioners due to the power coming into the location giving producing substantial noise in the lines, both analog and digital.. A lot of it has to do with slightly out of phase AC current, and when it's switching to DC in the charger transformer it can make noise at the front end of said transformer. Also, the dash charger pulls a significant amount of current to be transferred so I can imagine some noise would be expected with unconditioned power going into it.

If it's annoyingly audible I would plug it in elsewhere and if it still makes the same noise contact OnePlus and get another one.

Mine is silent and if the sound being emitted by your charger is like a buzzing one is extremely low then it can be considered as normal but if its even audible during normal room sounds then you should get it checked.

If you unplug your charging cable from the phone before unpluging your charging brick from the wall outlet, then some "charge" may remain in the charging brick. Just remove the charging brick from the wall outlet first, wait about 3 seconds for the remaining "charge" to transfer from the charging brick to the phone, and then unplug your cable from the phone. By doing these, there is no remaining "charge" in your charging brick and it won't make that buzzing noise. That buzzing noise occurs on all of my other charging bricks as well (for samsung tablet, lenovo smartphone, oneplus 2). Of course, if the charging brick makes that noise, just plug your cable in the phone (without plugging your charging brick in the wall outlet) - this will transfer the remaining charge from it to the phone and the charging brick will stop making that noise.
